Stages walkthrough[edit]

The four final stages of Hard Mode are almost identical to the previous ones in Normal Mode. Therefore, this page will just describe the differences.

Computer Core, stage 1[edit]

You will fight Geemel instead of Zain. The uncharged Spin Wheel can damage Geemel repeatedly; in Easy/Extreme Modes, he is really weak against the Speed Burner, instead. When Geemel's energy drops below 50%, he starts using a flying machine.

In the blue area before the boss room, a charged up Rolling Shield allows to refill all your energy and weapons with minimum effort.

Bosspider is weak against the Magnet Mine.

Computer Core, stage 2[edit]

In order to get the Hadouken and Shouryuken, you have to use the Rolling Shield. It actually makes things easier than using the Speed Burner. In Easy Mode, the room with the Hadouken and Shouryuken is now empty, since you already collected those techniques.

In order to wipe out Serges' four cannons, charge the Spin Wheel and shoot from the middle of the screen. In Easy & Extreme modes, you can also use the Earth Geyser twice for the same result.

Serges is weak against the Rolling Shield. Also, such weapon has a very convenient trajectory for this fight: just shoot when your platform is at the top.

Computer Core, stage 3[edit]

The Teleport System is different: it includes the four Mavericks introduced in the Hard Mode.

Teleport Hatches
Wheel Gator Magna Centipede
Armored Armadillo Morph Moth

The Shouryuken is the most effective weapon in Hard Mode against the virtual Sigma.

Sigma Hideout[edit]

Techno is not there anymore. Sigma is now stronger.

The uncharged Spin Wheel is super-effective against the real world Sigma. In Easy/Extreme Modes, the Zero Scramble Program "Earth Geyser" is more effective than Zero Final.

Extreme Mode[edit]

Once Hard Mode is cleared, Extreme Mode will unlock. In this mode, you play the whole game with the eight Mavericks at once and both Zain and Geemel. There is no plot, though: it's a mode about fighting only.

The only notable difference is the Teleport System inside the Computer Core: now it hosts all eight Mavericks.

Wheel Gator Magna Centipede
Armored Armadillo Morph Moth
