Walkthrough[edit]
First of all, open the menu, scrll down and select the weapons icon to access the Extra menu. Turn on Auto Charge and Rapid Fire.
There is no particular challenge in this stage. It is basically an exact duplicate of the opening stage from Mega Man X. Just keep going left and use your Auto-Charged shots and rapid fire to obliterate all the enemies.
Maverick: Vava[edit]
Vava is the original name of the Maverick renamed Vile in the USA.
Unlike the Vava/Vile from Mega Man X1, you can jump over this boss. Vava can be easily defeated: he suffers double damage from the X-Buster.
The Maverick Hunters base[edit]
At the base of the Maverick Hunters, Zero will brief X about what's going on, then he will introduce a new character: Middy.
This game also marks the last appearance of Dr. Cain, the scientist friend of X who created the Reploids.
