Metal Slug Anthology is a video game compilation for the Wii, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 2. It has unique controller functionality and marks the return of SNK Playmore as a third-party developer for a Nintendo console for the first time since the Super NES era. It was first released on December 14, 2006 for Wii, in North America.
A video demonstrates five new ways of controlling Metal Slug Anthology using the Wii Remote:[2]
It is worth noting that Metal Slug Anthology on the Wii does not support use of the Classic Controller for gameplay. The reason behind it is that according to Ben Herman, in the beginning, "Nintendo initially intended for that controller to be used primarily for the Virtual Console only."[4]. Thus Terminal Reality did not receive instruction on how to implement the Classic Control configuration in the game. On an internet show called "On the Spot", a representative from Terminal Reality demoed the different types of control. One question on the show asked if it supports the Classic Controller, and the representative did not know what it was. Some say that the Wii was still new and Terminal Reality did not know about the Classic Controller.
These Unlockable are purchased with points gained at the end of each game. However, there is a special track and gallery that must be won by taking off infinite credits.
