This is the backstory of all characters mentioned to serve on Lexington.

Lieutenant Commander Jennifer Tran
She served as Executive and Weapons Officer on the Lexington. She resided in stateroom 2C. In March 18, Tran called a Nuclear Plant Casualty Drill during the first dog watch (which happened to be her sleep shift). Her Damage Control team didn't fare well but Quan suspected that Tran set them up, as she simulated a computer failre at the same time as the NPC. It took them ~9 mins to isolate and contain the failure and set Condition Yoke for the contaminated areas. Tran wasn't happy and reamed her team.
On March 24 Tran ordered another nuke emergency drill, this time for a mock Nuclear Weapons Incident.
Lieutenant James Poole;
He has a younger brother by 9 years, David. Their parents worked as ERT research team and when he was 12, died in a nanomachines experiment and when he was 16 decided that the Alliance was on a course of self-annihilation. While he was a cadet at the Academy he was contacted to work as a double agent for the UN. Their espionage network helped him to excel at his studies and then get on a career fast track that took him into the most sensitive areas of Alliance intelligence planning.
He served in COMNAVSPACECOM/INTEL as the Special Executive Assistant to Admiral Parker and participated in the planning of Operation PANDORA while informing the UN High Command about the details. While his brother lived in a FosterCare facility in Boulder, COL, he replaced a member of Lexington rotated from TACOPS as Operations Officer in spite of his lack of training and experience as a combat officer. He lived in 2F. He planted a bomb on the Lexington hidden in a model of the ship, and then helped the UN plan an ambush for the Lexington and Jericho
In March 21 James Poole entered engineering started grilling Renato Olivar about the upgrades made to the Lexington during the overhaul at the McHenry yards. These questions made Quan to think that he was trying to get up to speed on his new assignment, if they weren't hinky.
On April 20 he had a heated argument with Taewon Narang over the causes of the war when some of the officers were relaxing in the Wardroom. Olivar thought that Pool agreed with UN's objectives, although he said he disagree with their methods. Poole seemed creepy to Quan. On May 4, she observed him running around the ship like a caged rat. She understood that Poole was hopped up before a battle the next day and perhaps knew about it before it happened.
Poole was a good looking guy and Maria Gajardo and Erica Moore were after him, however he slept with Kimberly Falcon.
On June 11 Quan once more caught Poole hanging around the entrance to one of the Weapons Bays and seemed guilty to her. On June 15 she followed him to Deck 2 with a bag, and saw he entered to Dahl's room with an override code, while he was in the Medlab. Eventually Poole started to behave strange and not be a member of the team, nor fit from the beginning. He also acted as blunderer and an amateur agent.
On June 22 he was getting more and more uptight, seemed jumpy and like he hadn't slept in days. He planted the bomb and was expecting for the Dharma.
Lieutenant Taewon Narang
He was the Science Officer. He had studied quantum mchemistry as a hobby and was fascinated with the Arika alloy. He lived in A1. He was interested in Erebus and Delta Pavonis V and used to read "Theory of Artificial Quantum Singularities III - The Role of Virtual Particle Creation in Energy Production". He rebuffed the rumors that the mission was about a new Earth-type world. He also could know the Lexington's classified position but would not tell. He had a heated argument with James Poole on April 20 over the causes of the war when some of the officers were relaxing in the Wardroom.
Lieutenant Michael Dahl
He was the Medical Officer. He lived in 2D. He had a safe with the classified elements of Hype secret weapon. On June 15 James Poole carrying a bag, entered to Dahl's room with an override code, while Dahl was in the Medlab.
Lieutenant Renato Olivar
He was the Engineering Officer of Lexington. He resided in 2B. He used to read an old volume of "Frontiers of Nanotechnology", a treatise on terraforming Mars and a collection of color holograms of orbital platforms. On March 21 he was in Engineering with Mary Quan when James Poole started grilling him about the upgrades made to the Lexington during the overhaul at the McHenry yards. These questions made Quan to think that he was trying to get up to speed on his new assignment, if they weren't hinky.
On April 20 he narrated to Quan about Poole's and Narang's heated argument over the causes of the war.
Ensign Erica Moore
She was CDS Tech. A knockout and was hitting on James Poole.
Chief Warrant Officer Mary Quan
She had dated Special Ops guys once. She served as nuclear tech on Lexington. She kept a diary when Hideki Miura told her that terminals can be overriden. In March 18, Tran called a Nuclear Plant Casualty Drill during the first dog watch (which happened to be her sleep shift). Her Damage Control team didn't fare well but Quan suspected that Tran set them up, as she simulated a computer failure at the same time as the NPC. It took them ~9 mins to isolate and contain the failure and set Condition Yoke for the contaminated areas. Tran wasn't happy and reamed her team.
In March 21 she was in Engineering with Renato Olivar when James Poole started grilling him about the upgrades made to the Lexington during the overhaul at the McHenry yards. These questions made Quan to think that he was trying to get up to speed on his new assignment, if they weren't hinky.
On March 24 Tran ordered another nuke emergency drill, this time for a mock Nuclear Weapons Incident. McClary was assigned to the Decontamination Station for Damage Control and had his hands all over her during the Decon segment. Her team did OK.
On April 8 she felt frustrated and upset, and all the tension on the ship getting worse. She also wondered why this hype with the science ship. On April 20 she heard about Poole's and Narang's heated discussion over the war and decided she didn't like Poole. On May 4, Quan observed him running around the ship like a caged rat.
On May 5 she and others went to the General Quarters at 14:07 because of an enemy vessel until 15:10. She understood that Poole was hopped up and perhaps knew about it before it happened.
On May 16 she realised that Poole was sleeping with Falcon.
On June 10 one of the coolant pumps in Section 8 went out and the reactor temp started climbing. Her team got it under control and brought a back-up online.
On June 11 she caught Poole hanging around the entrance to one of the Weapons Bays and seemed guilty to her. On June 15 she followed him to Deck 2 with a bag, and saw he entered to Dahl's room with an override code, while he was in the Mddlab. He started suspecting him for a UN agent (or an Alliance Special Ops plant) and was convinced.
Chief Warrant Officer Hideki Miura
He was the Cybersystems Operator. He was one old school hacker, loved "close to the machine" programming, admired the Cyberpunk Era of early 2020s and interested in the Concord, Starhome and the Epsilon Indi System. He advised Mary Quan to keep a paper diary.
Chief Petty Officer James Randall
He served as Ordnance Tech. On May 28 he realised that Lexington arrived at the third target star system since the ship was now moving in-system instead of laterally towards another jump point.
Petty Officer 1st Class Maria Gajardo
She was EI Systems Tech on the Lexington. She was told the rumors about their mission by Masaru Shindo and on March 23 told this to Mary Quan. She was hitting on James Poole.
Petty Officer 1st Class Philip Slocum
He served as ST/ASI tech. He was baiting Allen Gaiser over his ponytail who exploded on May 7 and had a fight in the mess hall during movie hall. Gaiser threw Slocum into the VR system and broke the CPU. The incident was kept quiet from the staff officers.
Petty Officer 1st Class Allen Gaiser
He served as Hull Maintenance tech. He had a ponytail and was baited by Allen Gaiser over it. Finally he exploded on May 7 and had a fight in the mess hall during movie hall. Gaiser threw Slocum into the VR system and broke the CPU. The incident was kept quiet from the staff officers.
Petty Officer 2nd Class David McClary
He was the Heavy Machinery Tech of the Lexington. On March 24 Tran ordered a nuke emergency drill, or a mock Nuclear Weapons Incident. McClary was assigned to the Decontamination Station for Damage Control and had his hands all over Mary Quan during the Decon segment. Her team did OK.
Petty Officer 2nd Class Mark Aguilar
He was assigned as Senior Optoelectronic Tech on the Heavy Cruiser USS CORAL SEA. He was assigned as Optoelectronic Tech for the Lexington. On March 28, with Lorraine Magrath he tried to guess where Lexington used an astrogation program on the main computer and the star patterns outside the viewports, but the computer did not allow it since the location is classified. On May 7 he fixed the VR CPU in the mess hall after Gaiser and Slocum broke it.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Lorraine Magrath
She served as serviceman. On March 28, with Mark Aguilar she tried to guess where Lexington used an astrogation program on the main computer and the star patterns outside the viewports, but the computer did not allow it since the location is classified.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Masaru Shindo
He was Storekeeper of the Lexington. He claimed he heard Dayna talking to Tran about the discovery of a new Earth-type world, as a home for the Alliance and their mission was to secure it. He told this to Maria Gajardo.
