The door to Machine World[edit]

MysticArk Door4.png

Remember the ship-door that lead to Cats World? In the room next to it is a broken clock. Use the Ark of Wisdom on it, then look closely at the hands, and you will be transported to the Machine World.

Colorless area[edit]

MysticArk Enemy4-0260.png

Turn a Bonehead skeleton into a figurine, and bring it to the monster arena. There, exchange it for a Skull axe, a good weapon for Miriene the Witch.

Keepensign[edit]

Get Edison's heart and bring it to the main hall of the shrine island. Get Edison's figurine and bring it back to Keepensign.

If Remeer (the male hero) orders some milk at the bar, the bar patrons will get sarcastic and challenge him to a fight (an opportunity to earn extra Experience), but they will only try to flirt burly to the girl; but if you play the piano, they will calm down. On the other hand, Fellis only (the female hero) will obtain the Platinum brooch when she talks to the item shop woman.

Do not purchase the Battle Shield for Kamiwoo the Ogre: he can soon find a better shield in a dungeon.

  • Trivia: The non-talkative Graham (Bell) is named after one of the men who claim the invention of the telephone. The scientist in town is named after Thomas Edison, the man who invented light bulbs.

Dungeon: Bottomless pit[edit]

MysticArk Enemy4-0420b.png

From Keepensign, travel nort-west. In Capone's Fort, you'll drop in a pit trap. In the bottomless pit below, you'll find Graham's heart.

Turn a Zombie into a figurine; you can then exchange it for a Zombie Shield. This will be the best shield for Kamiwoo the Ogre for the remainder of this chapter.

BOSS: Metal Crab[edit]

MysticArk Boss4-01.png

Use any battle item you found so far.

Capone's Fort[edit]

On the upper floor of the fort, examine a floor tile that is different (it's near the east wall); use the deck brush to reveal a secret passage. On the upper floor again, get Rona's heart. Bring the two hearts to the shrine island and get the corresponding figurines.

Dungeon: Snowgate Pass[edit]

MysticArk Enemy4-0280.png
MysticArk Enemy4-0320.png

At the top of Snowgate Pass, all color comes back, but all sounds vanish.

On the soundless side of Snowgate pass, you can turn two enemies into figurines. The Orc can then be exchanged for Speed Seed figurines; the Daedalus Worm can be exchanged for a Wormmet, a good helm for the Hero, but less useful for the Ninja and the Ogre. Note that the black & white figurines can be exchanged for different, worthless items.

Soundless & Ageless areas[edit]

Two areas, one single quest, no dungeons.

Duplo[edit]

Talk to a woman in the north-east houses to learn the sign language. Then, the weapons merchant twlls you he would like some help at the shop. Walk back to Keepensign and talk to Graham: he will be happy to become a weapons merchant.

Nevertheless, the many weapons and armors shops in town sell nothing of interest. Be careful when you speak to the item shop girl: she may get offended and refuse to sell you anything.

The lack of sound is the main problem in town, but many people also complain that any contact with the southern town of Ratwood got interrupted. To the southwest of Duplo is Bell Forest, your next destination.

  • Trivia: some people in Duplo are named after famous musicians: Frederick Chopin, Wolfgang Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven. The painter on Snowgate Pass is named after Vincent van Gogh.

Bell Forest[edit]

Pablo (Picasso) asks you to move some bells. As you do so, you find an underground passage that connects to the next area.

In the underground passage there are a healing spring and a sword for the Hero.

Ratwood[edit]

Ratwood is straight east of the tunnel. Marylin (Monroe?) welcomes you in town.

In the weapon shop, you can challenge the weaponsmith in a fight. On the other hand, if you hold some black iron (from the cats world) he will neither fight nor sell you any weapon; instead, he will ask the black iron and some beech sap in order to start making a strong sword.

Talk to Einstein, then bring a letter to Edison. Together, they will need some "bellanite" (metal to make bells) and some beech sap to fix the machine.

Beech Forest[edit]

Bellanite can be found, quite obviously, in Bell Forest. Continue to the north-east of the soundless area and get two jars of beech sap: one for the weaponsmith, one for the scientists.

Underground area[edit]

Dungeon: Metalimo corridor[edit]

Once the machine in Ratwood is fixed and you infused the Light Ark in it, it will open: it is an elevator. The air downstairs is poisoned: walk back and buy three antidotes (Ferris and Meisia can also learn the Cure spell).

In the corridor, walk to the left and enter a small supply room. Afterwards, walk south until you reach the underground village of Metalimo.

Metalimo[edit]

Talk to the people in Metalimo and start unravel the anomalies on the surface. Many of them are sick: bring them four potions, then talk to the leader, and he will thank you giving you a open card to get to the lower level.

Dungeon: Junkyard[edit]

Turn a medusa into a figurine: she will be a very strong monster for the arena.

The leader of Metalimo gave you a hint to open the locks in the Junkyard: all numbers on the dial must be different, and they must be sorted from smallest to largest. Also, each door screen says what the sum of the number must be. Here is a simple method to solve them all: set the leftmost free slot to 1 or to the leftmost slot plus 1; continue to the right increasing by one; set the last, rightmost free slot with the remainder of the number required.

BOSS: Death Knights[edit]

MysticArk Boss4-02.png Use all the combat items in this battle. The three Death Knights are quite resistant to magic attacks.

When you get back to Metalimo, the community leader has a present for you: an armor for Lux the Tetsujin.

Hydro Area[edit]

Hydro Area City[edit]

The Synthesis Machine allows to turn useless items into new items. At this point of the game, you should have four useless items that can be used in the machine. Later, you will find more plot items that can be used to obtain relevant items. Add either a liquid or a magic item to turn these into another item.

  • Junk + deck brush + any liquid item = Deck Brush weapon (for the Priestess)
  • Scrap of paper + any liquid item = Mirrored shield (for the Hero, Ninja and Ogre)
  • Bottle of candies + any magic item = Full Metal Jacket (for the Tetsujin)

Note that, in order to get the deck brush weapon, you must insert first the junk (also known as "picture hook"), then the deck brush item, and only afterwards the liquid/magic item. For the other items, any order will do.

Any other combination of two items (Solid&Liquid, Liquid&Magic, Magic&Solid) will turn into one of three items that can be purchased in shops.

Before you go to the Hydro Cell, you should better use the elevator upwards to the surface and collect some Orc figurines. The monsters listed below will disappear forever once you clear the dungeon.

Dungeon: Hydro Cell[edit]

The arrow tiles just show paths. They do not work as moving floors.

NOTE: When you collect the Ark, all monsters disappear from the surface (including Bottomless Pit and Snowgate Pass). Make sure you collected the all the figurines you need.

Aftermath[edit]

The door of the north-east tower in Capone's fort is now open; three chests are in the room inside.

Go back to Ratwood and collect a strong sword from the weaponsmith.

The Fire Ark[edit]

Infuse the Fire Ark into a weapon to make it stronger. It only works on pointy weapons (hero swords, ninja sabers, ninja arrows, witch knives).

Let's summarize:

  • Hero swords, witch knives, ninja sabers and ninja arrows can be infused with either Light Ark or Fire Ark.
  • Ogre axes and grappler boomerangs can be infused with the Light Ark only.
  • Grappler nunchakus and tetsujin fists cannot be infused with any ark.
  • Later, priestess staves can be infused with the Darkness Ark only.

Monsters & arena[edit]

All monsters disappear from the surface, you can only collect figurines in the underground and in the Hydro Area.

The strongest monsters right now are all at Lv. 24: Medusa, Tetsujin M003 and Tetsuujin M004. Avoid pitting any of your monsters against the other two, the odds of winning are very slim, and you could lose your figurine.
