Commands are shortcuts and additional tasks you can perform by typing a specific text string, prefixed by a backslash ( / ), in the chat window.

The Chat Window[edit]

To enter a command, first press enter or click on the input bar of the chat window. If you haven't spoken in any chat or whisper since you logged on, the default method of chat will be /town. If you speak in a channel, shout, yell, or whisper, and then go back to the input box after saying something, the next message you write will automatically be sent to the last one you used (there will be no preceding /command).

Also enabled is the auto-complete feature (something IRC users may recognize): as you enter a command, you can press Tab to complete the word for you. If the word you get isn't what you wanted, you can repeatedly press Tab to scroll through a list of possible words.

When you first log on to Mythos you may notice that your chat window immediately tells you that you are entered into four channels: chat, lfg, trade, and newbie. These are the four basic chat channels - however the ones you are entered in are randomized. Each channel currently has several instances of itself, identified by a number; for example "chat-2." Note that you cannot send messages to a channel you are not in - you'll have to first leave the channel you are in, such as chat-1, and then join another, such as chat-2.

Up and Down will scroll through the last commands you used (just like Diablo II).

Commands[edit]

The usages below will sometimes state open entries (variable inputs where you can type whatever you want or something like a player's name) using this syntax: /command <description of what should be here>.
