Loot[edit]

When you kill an enemy or break open a box, more likely than not you'll see an object pop out and onto the ground. These objects can be anything from gold to weaponry. Exploring and farming for loot is the only way to find the most ultimate of equipment, since the best items are the ones with completely random stat modifiers. You can get loot from the following:

  • Killing monsters (especially champions and unique enemies such as Zivia)
  • Breaking open containers (vases, boxes, eggs, etc.)
  • Completing quests (often less rewarding)
  • Opening the Master Chest

Master Key and Chest[edit]

The Master Chest is one of the rewards for completing a dungeon - it is a large, decorated and shiny treasure chest with a purple aura that is always found on the final floor (or zone) of a dungeon.

However, the only way to open the chest is with the Master Key. The key drops from anything in the dungeon: monsters, chests, and even bosses, however it's completely random so the only way to guarantee that you'll get it is to break and kill everything on every floor of a dungeon.

Master Chests have random drops, but more often than not you'll receive at least one magical item - like most champions and bosses (the Master Chest is thus more like a "boss chest").

Equipment[edit]

Equipment can either be normal (white), or magical (colored). Normal equipment acts as the base types for all magical equipment, and so even though they may not be too useful by themselves, normal equipment is useful for identifying whether or not you would want to craft better equipment with it or trade for an item of that base class.

Colored equipment can be found as loot, purchased via gambling, or created using Zivia's Puzzle box.

Additionally there is a special element that can sometimes appear on equipment (normal or magical) in which "sockets" exist. Socketable equipment means gems can be placed into the equipment to give it additional bonus properties. Know, however, that gems cannot be un-socketed!

Potions[edit]

For more details on potions, see Mythos/Miscellaneous Items.

Potions are consumable items that can help keep your character alive. Depending on the type, they can restore health, mana, or cure ailments such as poison or petrification.
