This is the game's first aerial level. On these levels, falling below the screen results in death, so be careful. Note how the pink mushrooms constantly rock back and forth, changing jumping conditions on a regular basis. On the next platform is a goomba and a pair of ? blocks. The one on the left contains a Super Leaf. Next, you'll find a moving pink mushroom. Use it to elevate yourself to the right and jump onto the yellow mushroom to grab the first star coin. Further right is a gold ring and a koopa. Use the ring and jump on the koopa to send it off to the right. The following trail left by the shell will continue down below. Chase after it to get a bunch of coins and clear the way of goombas.
At the end of the shell's trail, you'll see a blue pipe above a pink mushroom. Use the neighboring mushroom to climb up, and go into the blue pipe. Inside, you'll find a series of moving pink mushrooms and a parakoopa. To the far right, you'll find the second star coin floating in the air. Jump off and grab it. Don't worry about dying; you'll simply fall back down to the main area.
At this point, you should reach the midpoint flag. In the ? block to the right, you'll find a new Super Leaf. Jump from platform to platform and you'll discover a red ring, which may grant you a Super Leaf if you collect the nearby red coins in time. Otherwise, just hop and bop your way onward until you reach a series of floating blocks. Jump up into the empty spot between the blocks to reveal a hidden block, which sprouts a vine. Climb up.
Here, you'll discover a P switch and a number of coins. DO NOT touch the coins! Instead, hit the P switch and use the newly created platforms to climb up as far as possible, until you ultimately reach the third star coin. Then, fall back down on the right.
You'll soon see another gold ring and koopa. You know what to do. Go in the ring, jump on the koopa, and send its shell flying right. Chase it in order to receive lots of coins and destroy the enemies along the way. By the end of the trail, you'll be at the flagpole
