World 2-1 is the first level in World 2 of New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
Normal Strategy[edit]
Watch out for the Koopa Troopa on the first sand geyser. The sand geysers will appear and disappear on a set cycle, and you know that on is about to appear if a puff of sand appears at the bottom of the screen. Jump on the geyser, then continue on to the next set. Above the second geyser is a ? Block. Hit for a Super Mushroom or a Fire Flower. Move onto the platform, then jump to the next platform when the geyser has disappeared. Ride up the next geyser to the first Star Coin. Continue, dodging the Goombas as they come at you. They will be especially difficult to dodge in the next section of geysers because they are being spawned out of a Warp Pipe. Jump high to dodge the Boomerang Bro and activate the midway flag. Use the next set of geysers to jump on or over the Paratroopa. Dodge the Piranha Plant, then walk off of the sand geyser into the second Star Coin. Jump back onto the geyser and continue on. Navigate over a Piranha Plant, and use careful timing to dodge the three Piranha Plants in the next section. Hit the first ? Block for a Super Mushroom or Fire Flower and jump onto the first geyser. When the Paratroopa is hovering over a geyser, jump on him until he turns into a shell. Pick up the shell and throw it to the right to collect the third Star Coin. Continue jumping from geyser to geyser, making the jump off of the final geyser big enough to reach the Flagpole.
Star Coins[edit]
- Star Coin #1: Run off of a sand geyser onto a small platform. From there, jump to the next sand geyser and ride it up to the Star Coin.
- Star Coin #2: After the midway flag, run off of the geyser to the left and you will land in the section with the Star Coin.
- Star Coin #3: Time your jump to land on the Red Paratroopa over the second geyser in the section near the end. Then throw the shell from the geyser to get the Star Coin. You can also use a Propeller Suit.
