[edit] Giant Crabs

Encountered at the beginning, these oversized crustaceans are quite formidable when encountered in large numbers. They are about 5 feet long, but can reach about 20 feet.

[edit] Megapedes

These giant centipedes are encountered throughout the game. There are two species: the common Megapede, which is about 10 feet long and brown in color, and the rare purple Megapede. The purple Megapede is very small and is only encountered a few times in the game, but it is still the fiercest species.

[edit] Scorpiopede

The front of this neopede is rather like a Megapede, but the body then curls upwards into a sail-like tail. They bear a striking resemblance to modern scorpions, with the exception of their body size, which is about 3 feet long.

[edit] Swamp Crawler

Encountered in the swamps and waterways of Skull Island, these amphibious reptile-like creatures attack anything that enters the water. They are about 4 feet long and are a camouflage shade of green. They attack in large groups and look like a mutation between a crocodile and a tadpole.

[edit] Queen Terapusmordax

The vicious mother of a Terapusmordax colony. She commands her minions to attack anyone who enters her nest. She is larger and more powerful than her offspring, has a 25 foot wingspan and sometimes lives amongst other Queens. She is blue in color.

[edit] Terapusmordax

These large, winged attack in swarms and are brown in color. They appear to be a cross between a bat and a rodent. They vary in size with the average wingspan stretching about 8-10 feet across. The smaller individuals have a wingspan of about 2-3 feet, and are most likely newborns. They are found everywhere on Skull Island.

[edit] Skin Birds

Very much like the Terapusmordax, these bats are slightly larger and more robust in appearance. They have a wingspan of about 7-9 feet and are brown in color. They are only seen at the summit of the mountain where Kong's lair is located. They are scavengers, consuming even the most rancid rotting meat.

[edit] Lineages

These small carnivorous dromeosaurs are encountered in huge numbers in the lowlands and jungles of the island. They are extremely agile, climbing trees and running across log ravines. They are about 5 feet long and are a purplish color.

[edit] Venatosaurus

A species of 20 foot raptor found all over the island. Venatosaurs are found in the lowlands, jungles, waterways and mountains, and are easily the commonest dinosaur in the game. They form groups of about 2-6 animals before attacking.

[edit] V-rex

The largest predator on the island, the V-rex is similar to a Tyrannosaurus, except it is much bigger and more powerful. It is invincible when playing as Jack; only Kong can kill a V-rex. They can be encountered on their own or in pairs. They seem to favour the dense jungles rather than the swamps or mountains. They are 40-50 feet long and are a dark shade of camouflage green.

[edit] Juvenile V-rex

Smaller versions of the adults, Juvenile V-rex are often found bullying Venatosaurs off a kill, and even fighting them for it. They can be killed by Jack, but it is best to have a very powerful firearm by your side when fighting one of these brutes. They are about 30 feet long and are brown in color.

[edit] Brontosaurus

These lumbering herbivores are seen stampeding through a canyon ravine while be hunted by a large pack of Venatosaurs. They can trample Jack if he gets in their way, but they are generally harmless. Only adult V-rex or Venatosaurs can kill them. They are about 120 feet long.

[edit] Cave Serpent

Large amphibious serpents that are around 35 feet long. They are only encountered once in Kong's lair, where the player must control Kong and slaughter the monsters. There are some baby serpents there as well, but Kong can kill them easily.
