[edit] Controls
- Joystick: Use the 8-way joystick to move Apollo (who is mounted on the back of Pegasus) in any direction. They are always moving forward, but you can direct them anywhere.
- Firing Button: Use this button to make Apollo's sword fire at the enemies. Pressing it lightly makes it fire a tiny shot; holding it down charges the sword, and upon releasing the button the sword shoots a bigger fireball. Even the smallest enemies take multiple hits, so the standard shot is of little use.
- 1 or 2 Player Buttons: Push these buttons to begin a 1 or 2 player game.
[edit] Characters
[edit] Apollo (アポロ)
The protagonist of the game.
[edit] Item Fly (アイテムフライ)
An enemy which leaves a powerup behind when killed. The powerups have letters on them and what they do is as follows:
- S: Speed up. When obtained, Apollo and Pegasus's speed will increase.
- O: Option. When obtained, a beam will appear beside Apollo's sword and he can fire two shots at once. Up to three of these can be present at any given time, meaning a maximum of four shots can be fired at once.
- B: Beam. When obtained, Apollo's sword will fire enormous beams for a short time. Appears at the Hill of Radon on the first stage.
- A: Across. When obtained, for a short time, Apollo's sword will fire boomerangs to the left and right for a short time. Appears in the cave on the second stage.
- H: Homing. When obtained, Apollo's sword will fire homing shots for a short time.
- L: Life. When obtained, Apollo will redeem some of his lost health.
- P-H-E-L-I-O-S: These appear on the seventh stage. When an item capsule (looks like an orange bubble) is destroyed, either one of these or a bonus powerup which can range from 50 to 5000 points will be released. They must all be collected in order to upgrade Apollo's sword's charged shot. This is vital for the final battle with Typhon as he can only be injured by these upgraded charge shots!

STAGE 1: Medusa (メデューサ)
When Apollo approaches her, her head will fly off and she will fire lasers from her eyes at him.
STAGE 2: Graeae (グライアイ)
When Apollo approaches them, they will fire shots from their hands at him. After their hands have been destroyed, their heads will fly off and attack him. It doesn't matter how many times Apollo destroys them, as they will come back again and again. The blue crystal in the centre must be destroyed in order to move on.
STAGE 3: Siren (セイレン)
When Apollo approaches her, she will transform into an eagle and shoot fireballs from her beak at him.
STAGE 4: Antaeus (アンタイオス)
When Apollo approaches him, he will shoot fireballs at him and try to attack him with his legs.
STAGE 5: Scylla (スキュラ)
Apollo must destroy all the crystals surrounding her in order to get a clear shot at her.
STAGE 6: Cerberus (ケルベロス)
Apollo must destroy all three of his heads before he can move on.
STAGE 7: Typhon (デュポン)
As mentioned earlier, he can only be injured by upgraded charged shots, and the only way to upgrade the charged shots is to collect all the letters of the game's name in the first part of the stage.
To the left is Typhon as he appears in the first phase of the final battle. To the right is how he appears in the second phase, where his only vulnerable spot is between his legs.
