The Impact Site is the first place you will go. It has very few monsters. Most of the area isn't available until you get yellow and blue pikmin.

On Day 1, you will land here and have infinite time. Go up to the brown thing and it will turn into a Red Onion. Then it will spit out a pikmin. Pluck the Pikmin. Have him knock down the Pellet Posies and get Pellets. Make as many as you can. When you get 10, push the box that has a 10 on it. Notice it takes 5 pikmin to carry a pellet with a 5 on it. Take the pellets you see. Inside the box, you will see bomb rocks which you will use later. You also find the Main Engine part.
