This game requires you to enter your name on the high score table in Hiragana. If you can't read Hiragana, see [1] in order to learn how.
When Pistol Daimyo destroys a blue jar with a medium-sized cannonball, it will leave a "Hana" behind. Collect three of these in order to make a "Kusu Ball" appear. When this is shot open with a large cannonball, it will leave a suit of wooden armour behind. Collect it to protect against enemy attack. If you collect three more Hana while wearing the wooden armour, the Kusu Ball, when shot open, will leave a suit of metal armour behind. There are also yellow jars which leave firepower-increasing powerups behind when Pistol Daimyo destroys them, but there are only three of these in the entire game - on the second, ninth and thirteenth stages.
Similar to Ordyne, all the enemies in this game move in preset patterns so as not to make it confusing.
