The Season Research Lab[edit]

The scientists at the Lab are interested in researching how the Pokemon Deerling changes with the seasons. If you can show one scientist a Deerling with all four season coats, he will give you a Leaf Stone. Note: To do this quickly, simply catch a Deerling, set the DS clock forward 1 month each time, and show each form to the scientist.

After this, continue on Route 6.

Across the eastern pond is Mistralton Cave, but you can't reach it because you don't have the Surf HM yet. As you approach Chargestone Cave, a web weaved by a Galvantula is blocking the entrance. Clay shows up and will get his Krokorok to clear it away. Afterwards, he will give you TM78, containing Bulldoze, a move which hits all opposing targets (plus your ally in a Double Battle) and lowers their Speed by 1 stage.

Chargestone Cave is a very unusual cave, home to floating stones and the ability to evolve Nosepass or Magneton if leveled up here. It's quite straightforward to navigate, with three levels, many trainers and quite a few hidden items. As you enter, two members of Team Plasma's Shadow Triad warn you that they want to test you. They immediately exit afterwards. As you go north, you'll encounter Bianca and Prof. Juniper, who are researching the origins of Pokemon. Juniper will give you a Lucky Egg, which doubles experience if given to hold.

There's not much strategy to this battle, just defeat him, and wait for Bianca and Prof. Juniper to come around. Afterwards, you can exit the tunnel into Mistralton City.
