After defeating Articuno, you will continue further North until you have a vision of Gardevoir, who will tell you that Ninetales lives at the summit of Mt. Freeze. After this, you arrive at a save and inventory point, from which you can once again take the Snowy Path leading back to this save point, or begin the ascent of Mt. Freeze.

After Mt. Freeze has been ascended, there will be a save point before Mt. Freeze Peak, a four floor dungeon. At the end, Alakazam's team will catch up with you, only for Ninetales to intervene and reveal that you are not the Pokémon mentioned in the legend. After that, Ninetales mentions that Groudon is awakening, and Alakazam heads off to fight Groudon, while you return to Pokémon Square.
