In this chapter, you'll meet Treasure Town for the first time. For more information, refer to the Treasure Town Guide.

Good Morning[edit]

Outlaws
The right of the 2 boards on the guild's first floor will list mission about Outlaw Pokémon. Outlaws are bad Pokémon which you will need to fight with to complete the mission. Sometimes you also have to retrieve an item they drop, so leave a space in your bag.

Loudred will wake you up like always. Go to the lobby and Chatot will ask you to follow him. You'll go to another bulletin board, this time he goes to the right one.
After explaining the outlaw missions to you, he'll summon Bidoof to give you a tour around Treasure Town.

Treasure Town[edit]

Main article: Treasure Town

After showing you some stuff, Bidoof will leave you to hang out in Treasure Town. Many of the functions there will not work just yet. The player's partner insists on going to the Kecleon Market. Go there (it's in the western part of Treasure Town). The Kecleon Market is a stand with 2 Kecleon standing there, a green one and a purple one. Buy items if you want, and leave the store. Once the player does so, You'll see an Azurill and a Marill buying an Apple from the Kecleon brothers.

When they leave, Kecleon explains that their mother has fallen sick and that they do the shopping for her. The duo will suddenly come back and say they have an extra Apple, which the green Kecleon will say is a gift. The young duo will leave, but Azurill trips and drops an Apple, which the player picks up. However, when he/she gives it back to Azurill, the screen flashes black twice, and he/she will complain he/she is getting dizzy before the screen turns dark, flashes white, and a voice screaming like: "H-h-help!", before it retracts white. There is a short cutscene, and you may head back to the guild.

However, you will then experience and find that a Drowzee is offering to help the duo look for an item they lost. However, Drowzee bumps into you and the player has another vision in which the player sees him threatening Azurill. Another cutscene shows, and you should finish up in Treasure Town and head for the guild.

Talk to Bidoof and tell him you are ready. An earthquake occurs and Bidoof will explain that Dugtrio is updating. When Dugtrio is done, the player's partner starts to shiver. Drowzee is a wanted criminal!

You will head for Mt. Bristle.

Dungeon: Mt. Bristle[edit]

Dungeon Info
Parameter Value
Name Mt. Bristle
Floors 9 + Summit

Unlike the first two dungeons, Mt. Bristle's is rather hard; the level of the Pokémon is significantly higher, so they have hard-hitting attacks. Poison is a major problem, since almost half of the enemies here have Poison-type moves. Make sure you enter the dungeon with healing items and know where the stairs are.

The worst opponents here are Starly, which can kill you with 2 Quick-Attacks or Tackles. Grass-types will get KO'd with just a single blow on higher floors, because they may have Wing Attack.

Hunger is not a problem; look for a Big Apple on the fifth floor. If you can't find it, you should still have the one from the bluff.

Pokémon Info
Name Type Strategy
Machop Fighting Normal-type Pokémon will get hit badly by any of those you face, so be prepared to switch out for something that can beat it.
Geodude Rock/ground Tough if your Pokémon is weak against Rock-type moves; do not use Fire or Electric-type moves against it.
Doduo Normal/Flying
Spinarak Bug/Poison
Starly Normal/Flying knows Quick Attack, which can inflict damage from 2 tiles away, and can be awful if you run into one of them when you are low on HP or a low level.
Nidorina Poison Has good stats.
Nidorino Poison Has good stats.

After 9 floors, you will meet Azurill being haunted by Drowsee and have to face off against .

Boss Battle: Drowzee[edit]

Name HP Tactics
Drowzee About 120 Do not put him to sleep; he has Insomnia. Instead, stun him using seeds or moves and then use your best against him. Not a big problem, as long as you know how to deal with him.

When you (finally) defeat him, Magnezone will appear. He introduces himself as the leader of the Pokémon Police Force, and will take Drowzee away. In response to this, Drowzee grieves with disappointment.

At the Guild Again[edit]

After you return to the Guild with Azurill, you'll meet Chatot. He'll say that Magnezone's reward arrived, containing, in this case, 3000 Poké. However, Wigglytuff keeps 2700 Poké, so you only get 300 Poké. Chatot says it's all part of the training, and then the duo heads off to dinner. But the player is still wondering how he/she managed to find out about Drowzee...

At night, the player's partner talks about things called Time Gears. Apparently they keep time flowing in that area, until they are removed from that region. Then, you and your partner decide to go to sleep.

All is peaceful. Or is it?

Meanwhile, you will see a Grovyle in a forest. He looks around and see something ahead: a Time Gear. But it looks like Grovyle's going to steal it. That means that, time will stop in the forest. It looks like things aren't as peaceful as they seem...
