When you start a new game, you will be asked a variety of questions; after this, the game will "test your aura". Just hold your finger (or the stylus) in a random location on the touch screen and keep it there until you are told the color of your aura (if you take it away too soon you will have to start over). There is a trick for this, however. Depending on where you hold the stylus depends what kind of "aura" you radiate! The game then decides what Pokémon your personality matches the most. After this you choose your partner and begin the game.
