Route 10 gets its name from the rows upon rows of menhirs, mysterious standing stones arranged in an obviously unnatural pattern. These strange stones draw in tourists, researchers and mystics alike, but unfortunately it has also seemed to attract the nefarious Team Flare, still bitter about their defeat at Glittering Cave. In addition to these odd landmarks, there are also a whole new batch of Pokemon to catch, so your coastal Pokedex may get a fair bit larger by the time you reach Geosenge Town.

Weaving around the rocks[edit]

As soon as you enter the route, the first thing of interest you see will be a berry tree, which periodically drops Iapapa Berries. These berries heal a bit of health when consumed, but may cause confusion if the Pokemon dislikes sour berries. North of the tree, you can use your newly obtained Strength move to push a large boulder into the hole behind it, letting you reach the area beyond.

Up ahead is a minor Strength puzzle, where you have to push the boulder around the small stones to get it into the hole to the right. From above, push the boulder down, then right when you're able to, then up as far as you can, right a few steps, then further up some more so that the boulder is flush against the north wall. Push the boulder the rest of the way right to fill in the gap, which lets you reach your prize: TM73 Thunder Wave. This useful move has a guaranteed chance to inflict paralysis, which severely lowers the target's speed and has a chance of rendering them immobile for a turn. While you're in the area, be sure to use the Dowsing Machine to uncover a hidden Revive.

Back on the main route, proceed to the left and you will encounter a couple of trainers.

    • Solosis (Lv. 22)

  • Tourist Fumiko
    • Skiploom (Lv. 19)
    • Azumarill (Lv. 19)
    • Dunsparce (Lv. 19)

Head north to enter the field of menhirs. First things first, go right until you reach a corner to find a Mind Plate. The first of many plates you'll find in Kalos, they will increase the strength of attacks belonging to certain types, Psychic in the case of the Mind Plate. They're also said to have a connection with Arceus, a mythical Pokemon native to the distant region of Sinnoh, so it's very worth collecting and keeping these plates. Go left and head north to the upper corner to find an X Accuracy. Next, head right to the opposite corner to find a hidden Paralyze Heal. Try to go to the next rocky field and you will be confronted by a Team Flare grunt!

  • Team Flare Grunt
    • Houndour (Lv. 21)
    • Golbat (Lv. 23)
    • Pokebuck.png920

Past the low rocky fence, head right to a patch of ground without tall grass to get a hidden Burn Heal. Continuing onward, you will find another trainer keeping you from getting a Thunder Stone beyond his patrolling path.

  • Psychic Sayid
    • Meditite (Lv. 19)
    • Kirlia (Lv. 21)
    • Pokebuck.png1,176

To advance to the northernmost field of rocks, you have to battle another Team Flare grunt.

  • Team Flare Grunt
    • Electrike (Lv. 23)
    • Croagunk (Lv. 21)
    • Pokebuck.png840

After that, you can either continue along the dirt path and fight another Team Flare grunt, or brave the tall grass straight ahead. One more trainer lies between you and the entrance to Geosenge Town.

    • Gulpin (Lv. 24)

  • Tourist Tomoko
    • Drifloon (Lv. 19)
    • Hippopotas (Lv. 19)
    • Pachirisu (Lv. 19)
