In the first level, you need to get rid of an enemy to be able to get to the level exit door. You can either pass avoiding combat with him (there are different tricks usable depending on the Prince of Persia version you're playing), or go find and get the sword to kill him.
If you take no damage, you may return to the right by the way you came. If you took damage, and want to recover it, you will need to find loose floors that allow you to reach the upper floor, where you may find two healing potions.
