Boss[edit]

Darth Moab seems to enjoy his puns. His pattern is simple enough to learn, but actually taking advantage of it can be a little more difficult. To start, back off from the dark lord to the space between the pair of traffic cones. He'll swing his sickle and create a significant crater in front of the Prinny. At this point, the choice is whether to wait for him to move or to rush things. A skull floats up from the crater and slowly homes in on the Prinny, and after a short delay Darth Moab moves towards the left side of the screen, then up along the wall. You can either rush through the crater past the skull and Hip-bump him where he stands, or wait for him to move forward and do it then, before he heads up into the air.

Once the boss heads up, move over to the left, close to the wall, and wait for him to come back down. He'll throw his sickle down in the center of the area, and start spinning it towards the Prinny. As time goes the speed at which the sickle homes in on the Prinny will change, but the overall pattern remains fairly similar. If you don't get in three Hip-bumps fairly soon after this portion of his pattern starts, he'll begin floating in figure-eights with his sickle spinning around him. While it's possible to hit him with a Hip-bump at this point, there's also little chance of doing so without the Prinny also taking a hit.

When the three Hip-bumps have taken effect and Darth Moab is stunned, aim for his head. He seems to take damage much more rapidly when hit directly in the head with air-slashes. When he recovers from the stun, he usually swings the sickle over his head, so it's rarely possible to get more than one more Hip-bump in while he's recovering.

Darth Moab will alternate between the left and right side of the screen, depending primarily on where he's stunned on the previous assault (occasionally he can be pushed into the middle or lured into coming down on the same side of the stage twice in a row). Remember to keep him between the Prinny and the sickle when he's setting it spinning. Once the sickle's on the move, the key is to stun him before the sickle can home in on the Prinny's location. It may take a few rounds of stuns to finish him off, depending on your accuracy with the air-slash, but eventually it will be time to move closer to retrieving the Ultra Dessert.

An alternate strategy is to stand as close to him as possible when he is swinging his sickle over his head. As soon as he pulls the sickle back, immediately jump and Hip-bump him as quickly as possible. The swing itself will not hurt you and if you're quick enough, you'll be able to stun him. Once he's out of the stun, he'll do the attack again, allowing the player to repeat the process. If the player can mash the square button quick enough, Darth Moab will be finished by the second stun. If he isn't, follow the above strategy.
