  • Rank: 26-1 (18 KOs)
  • Height: 6'2"
  • Weight: 174 lbs
  • Age: 28
  • Birthplace: Tokyo, Japan
  • Description: Looks like a relative of Dr. Wily from the Mega Man series (i.e. the eyebrows).
  • Difficulty: ***
  • KO Count: 4
  • Attacks:
    • Close Call: Hondo moves his eyebrows and glows red. He'll follow up with a sucker punch so dodge. (Note: punch before Hondo to get a star).
    • Sweeper: He steps back and sweeps his fist so dodge left or duck.
    • Uppercut: Hondo immediately uppercuts you. Dodge left or right.
    • Hondo Rush: Hondo steps back and launches sucker punches at you in a fast rate. The only way to dodge this is blocking it. He'll follow it with either a Sweeper or Uppercut.

A fighter harder (and a lot faster) than Hippo. He's usually wide open for a split second before and after his punches, especially the Hondo Rush. Now punch when he comes in for the rush and that will earn you an instant knockdown. Occasionally, Hondo will stop to bow at you while raising his eyebrows. Wait for Hondo to flash yellow before delivering a jab to the face to earn a star. If you already have a star, you can tag the bowing Hondo with a star punch for an instant knockdown. Or better yet, if you've got three stars, you can hit Hondo as he bows for another instant KO.

Star opportunities
  • Try to hit Hondo as he bows.
  • Counter his jab, sweeper, or uppercut.
Knockdown opportunities
  • When he bows, try a Star Punch instead of a regular punch. Nail it with three stars for a One-Hit KO.
  • Counter the Hondo Rush by punching him just he comes in for the first jab.
