A level 50 Hawker

Hawkers are fast characters, and wear light armor. They base themselves on dexterity, which is their main stat that supports damage and dodging. Hawkers use katars, dual weapons or bows. They can also hide, boost up their critical and dodge rate, and throw poison knives at their enemies. At level 100, hawkers can become scouts or raider. Basically they're a cross between a ninja and a bowman.

Hawker 1st job advancement[edit]

Once a visitor hits level 10, they must travel to the Canyon City of Zant and talk to an NPC called Warren who will direct them to Shannon located in the Valley of Luxen Tower. Shannon will then instruct you to hunt 20 Crystal Dews from Mother Choropys, Spotted Choropys and King Beans. Once you've obtained this amount, Shannon will then send you back to Warren who will advance you as a Hawker.

Hawker 2nd job advancement[edit]

When the hawker first hit level 100 (used to be 70), they can undergo second job advancement. First the player must talk to Mayor Darren in Junon whom will send you over to the armor merchant Saki. Saki will then tell the story of a famous Hero called Kiera. He'll then ask for Kierans Compass and Kierans Sundial from Krawfy King located at Kenji beach. After you've obtained those two items, talk to Saki again whom will direct you over to the historian Jones located in southern Junon Polis. He'll ask for 5 different volumes of Kieran's diary pages. These can be obtained from Goblin Warriors in Goblin Cave B2. Once you've obtained these pages, he'll send you over to the Tavern Owner in Zant. She'll ask you to find Kierans Phoenix Quill which is dropped by Stone Golems in Gorge of Silence. After you find it, go back to the tavern owner and she'll award you with a recommendation which you give back to Darren. Darren will then ask you for 200 000 Zulies before he'll advance you as either a Raider or Scout.

Here are a few tips when you're doing the quest:

  • Make sure you've prepared a lot of return scrolls, they can be purchased from Arumic Merchant Chester in south eastern Junon Polis, you'll be using them often.
  • Krawfy King is a boss spawned in four places in Kenji Beach, they often spawn along with Junon Golems after every five minutes. Take note that there's other players wanting to kill this boss for their job advancement quest as well, not only Hawkers so don't be too surprised when you get kill stealed without warning. And also note that the quest item drops are infrequent and you may have to take awhile hunting them. If you plan to advance as a Raider, you're going to have a hard time since you're easily ksed so bows are recommended.
  • The quest item dropped by Stone Golem is also infrequent and may take some time before obtaining it.

Stat builds[edit]

Hawkers rely heavily on Dex as opposed to Soldiers as DEX is their damage. Aside from that, Hawkers need a bit on STR, CON and SEN. For the builds, it is strongly recommended that STR and CON should be -5 your level and for every 3 stats spent on DEX, 1 SEN must be added making it a 3:1 ratio.

Skill Tree[edit]

This section is a stub. Help us expand it, and you get a cookie.

As with all classes, skillbooks must be bought from various NPCs in towns. Hawkers have three branches in the skill tree. Bow Mastery, Combat Mastery and Knuckle Mastery. To learn new skills you must buy skill books from Francis in Zant or from Darren in Junon.

Bow Mastery[edit]

This skill is primarily for Bow Hawkers who intend to become Scouts. These type of skills all rely solely on Bows.

Bow Mastery

This passive skill increases your damage with bows giving your full potential in damage with bows. This skill must be added on in order to access the other Bow Mastery Skills.

Skill Cap:

  • Level 10 (for Hawker)
  • Level 20 (MAX for Scout)
Aim Shot
  • This Skill has been removed from official ROSE servers.

This is a 'never miss' skill that does pretty decent damage. This skill is necessary if you want the Hawk Shot and Eagle Shot skills from Scout.

Skill Cap:

  • Level 10 (for Hawker)
  • Level 20 (MAX for Scout)

Double Shot/Triple Shot An offensive skill that fires 2 arrows on the enemy. This deals more damage than Aim Shot but it is more unreliable on higher level monsters because this skill can miss unlike Aim Shot. It also uses more mana than Aim Shot. Once this skill reaches level 11 and above, it upgrades to Triple Shot which fires 3 arrows instead of the usual 2.

Skill Cap:

  • Level 10 (for Hawker)
  • Level 20 (MAX for Scout)
Trap Shot

Another offensive skill that deals less damage than Aim Shot but it has a high chance of slowing the enemy's movement making it useful for kiting (i.e. hit and run).

Skill Cap:

  • Level 10 (for Hawker)
  • Level 20 (MAX for Scout)
Speed Shot

A supportive skill that enhances the attacking speed of your bow.
