Help the Galactic Rangers

Return to your ship and travel to Aridia. When you arrive the Qwack-O-Ray will be available at the vendor. That will allow you to complete another challenge on Annihilation Nation. This is the last weapon you will need to complete all the challenges.

Operation: DEATH VALLEY

Part 1: The Tunnels of Outpost X12

Tyhrranoids are attacking the Ranger base at Outpost X12. Defend the base and clear the tunnels of enemy troops.

• Prize: 10,000 bolts

Skill Point: Zap back at ya'

Kill 10 enemies with the Refractor. Reflect the lasers from the mechanical Tyhrranoids back at them and any nearby enemies.

You begin on the ground with a few Rangers helping defend the area. Some enemies will attack so defeat them. Once the path is clear, proceed forward. After the bridge, two mechanical Tyhrranoids will attack, along with a lot of small Tyhrranoids.

At the end of the room, three large Tyhrranoids will attack. In the room behind them, two mechanical Tyhrranoids are in the back on the right side, and three saucers will fly in. Guarding the exit is a dropship. Approach the ship at the end to complete the mission.

Part 2: Ambush in Red Rock Valley

The Rangers are surrounded and pinned down in Red Rock Valley. Help them to escape from the trap!

• Prize: 15,000 bolts

Use the hovership to defeat all the enemies.

Part 3: Assassination

Titanium Bolt

On the minimap there are 4 rivers all leading to the centre. there is a bridge over the southern river. Underneath the bridge is a Gravity Boots surface which you can use to get under the bridge and claim the Titanium Bolt. This can also be obtained in parts 4 and 5

Skill Point: Go for hang time

Get a hangtime of at least 2 seconds. Over the north river, there is a large hill that will let you gather speed and jump the gap, getting the skill point in the process.

We now know that the Tyhrranoids forces on Outpost X12 are led by several Four-Eyed alien commanders. Find and eliminate all of the Four-Eyed Tyhrranoids to disrupt the enemy's command and control.

• Prize: 20,000

You need to kill the six generals to beat this mission. They are the flying Tyhrranoids with green laser blasters. They show up as green dots on the minimap. Most are easily accessible, but one is on the platform in the centre and you will need to use the Hypershot to get to the platform.

Part 4: Reclaim the Valley

Now that the Tyhrranoid commanders have been eliminated, the enemy forces in Red Rock Valley are vulnerable to counterattack. Four auto-turrets have been placed in the valley by the Galactic Rangers. Activate all four turrets to secure the area.

• Prize: 25,000 bolts

You need to activate five turrets. There is one just to the right which is guarded by two rocket launchers and some enemies. Take out the launchers and a few of the enemies then turn the bolt. Cross the bridge to the south-east island and activate the bolt near the rivers since it is guarded by two allies and has the vehicle parked nearby. Cross the bridge to the south-west island and to the left of the bridge is the next turret. It is also guarded by two rocket launchers and a few enemies. The last one is on the north-west island behind the building. Two rocket launchers cover it from the east side.

Part 5: X12 Endgame

Friend of the Rangers Trophy

Complete this Battle Mission to receive the trophy.

The Tyhrranoids are now falling back from the valley with the Rangers in hot pursuit. Push through the tunnels and capture the enemy base by wiping out all ground forces and defensive turrets.

• Prize: 30,000 bolts (first time), 10,000 (second time)

This is like the first section, but you're attacking in the opposite direction. A few Tyhrranoids will be running away from you to be joined by a few more once they reach the building. Once inside the Rangers will take up defensive positions and some saucers, small and large Tyhrranoids will attack. Continue defeating enemies over the bridge and as you approach the exit a dropship will block your path.

Titanium Bolt

After the dropship is destroyed, just as you're exiting the building, turn right and use the Gravity Boots surface to get up onto the ledge. From there, use the series of raised platforms to get behind the building and collect the Titanium Bolt.

Outside is a building with two rapid-fire turrets. Take them out to complete the mission.

Completing this will also get you the Warp Pad.
