Get to the Palace[edit]

At the autovendor next to your ship, the Spitting Hydra is now available. You will have two allies helping shoot the enemies for a little while. Follow the path and clear out the first large area with the broken railings. The pots in this area are breakable for extra bolts. Follow the stairs up, and get the jackpot crate which will double all bolts and experience that you obtain. Clear out all the enemies in the area and follow the stairs up until your timer runs out. Go back to the large room you were in, and use a boost jump to get up to the small northern platform. There is a tower of crates with an exploding crate at the bottom. Shoot the exploding crate and get all the bolts from these crates. From here you can also use the N60 Storm to pick off some of the enemies ahead.

Titanium Bolt #1
At the farthest south-east corner is a small alley. You will see two walls facing each other that you can use to wall jump. Proceed down to corridor and break the boxes for some ammo and additional bolts, and collect the Titanium Bolt at the end

Follow the stairs up past the small pool of water and you will enter an area with multiple enemies and a large mechanical enemy in the centre. Take out all the smaller enemies with the Shock Blaster or N60 Storm, and then switch to the Nitro Launcher to take out the larger enemy. There is also another large enemy across the bridge, so use the Nitro Launcher to take him out as well. Stretch Jump across the gap.

On the other side, there is an Inferno Power crate. Destroy that crate and take out all the enemies with your Omniwrench. Once you kill the last enemy, go back and break all the crates for bolts and ammo before descending the stairs. A short cutscene will follow, and then you must help the ranger clear out multiple enemies on the path to the dropship. Break all the remaining crates and then climb aboard the dropship.

Secure the Area[edit]

Operation: IRON SHIELD[edit]

You now begin a series of Battle Missions. You will receive a prize after each completed mission. Your ammo will also be recharged for all weapons each time you return to the dropship.

Secure the Area[edit]

Drive the Tyhrranoids out of the compound then defend the area against a series of brutal attacks.
  • Prize: 3000 Bolts

Use the N60 Storm to take out the enemies that are already there when you arrive, and the Nitro Launcher to take out the larger enemies armed with lasers. Multiple groups of enemies will soon begin to attack. Use the Nitro launcher on the larger enemies and alternate between the Shock Blaster and N60 Storm for the weaker enemies. The minimap at the bottom right corner of your screen will show you where the enemies are arriving.

Air Assault[edit]

The Rangers can't hold out much longer. They need backup, now! Save as many Rangers as you can.
  • Prize: 4500 Bolts

There are 4 Rangers in the centre of the map who you must protect. As long as at least one of the Rangers survives, you will complete the mission.

Turret Command[edit]

Get to the plasma turret and blast those 'noid dropships out of the sky!
  • Prize: 6000 Bolts

You will control a turret and you have to destroy the dropships. You have unlimited ammo, so hold down the Cross button button and continue to shoot the enemies. You will have to lead your shots by aiming ahead of the dropships, since the bullets take some time to travel.

Under the Gun[edit]

Provide covering fire for the repair crew until they can get the turret operational again.
  • Prize: 7500 Bolts

You have to make sure at least one member of the repair crew survives. It will take them 2:00 minutes to repair the turret, so stay close to them and attack any enemies that come nearby.

Hit n' Run[edit]

Use the bolt cranks to activate the automated turrets in sequence.
  • Prize: 9000 Bolts

You need to activate the turrets in the proper order. The next turret you must activate will be highlighted as a green dot on your minimap. Use Square button to activate the bolts on the small platforms with your Omnihammer. The turrets will be able to attack the dropships in the air, but once they release their units, you must destroy any land based enemies.

Repair the Laser Defense Shield[edit]

From the drop ship, Go to the Laser Defense Facility. The Refractor gadget is just ahead and you will be given a brief introduction to it. Once you pick it up you can read further information about it from the Gadgets page. To use the Refractor, you must equip it, then walk into the path of one of the lasers. Once you are getting power from the laser (red aura around your character) you can aim the beam in any direction. The easiest method is to switch to first-person view (L1 button) and aim. You do not need to fire this weapon. You can kill enemies with the beam. If you point the beam towards a reflector, the beam will stay bent and follow the new path. However, after the bend you cannot use the beam to power the Refractor.

You can destroy the boxes in this first room for some bolts. As you just got off the dropship, all your ammo should be recharged, so you won't need any from the crates. In the next room, to the left of the door you entered from, there is a laser source. Opposite the entry, there is a pot with some bolts within. There are also a few small enemies and one larger enemy. You can either kill them using conventional weapons, or using the Refractor. Equip it, and stand in the path of the laser. Aim at the enemies to quickly take them out. Once the room is clear, aim the beam at the reflector East end of the room. This will open the door to the next room.

In the next room, clear out the few enemies, and break the boxes. Use your Omniwrench to turn the bolt at the centre. This will move a reflector into the proper location. Aim the beam at that reflector to open the next door. Some enemies will come running at you once the door is open so take them out. In the next room is a mechanical enemy. Kill him as well. Break the boxes behind him, and re-point the beam around the corner to another reflector. Using your wrench again, move the second reflector into position. Bend the newest beam again to open the next door. Don't forget to switch back to the Refractor.

Once the doors are open, use the source beam to attack the enemy that will come at you. Bend the beam and rotate the bolt in the room again. Jump up, kill the enemies and bend the beam to the next reflector. This will activate the laser bridge. Once you get to the other side of the bridge, a large mechanical enemy will attack. He shoots laser beams, which the Refractor can also absorb. Point them back at him to kill him. Stand on the platform in the centre to absorb the laser from there and kill the rest of the enemies in the room. There is a mechanical spider in the room, who will follow wherever you point the beam. On the wall on the south side of the room, there is a small symbol. Lure the spider onto that symbol, then shine the beam on him. He will bend the beam across the room to open the next set of doors.

Skill Point: Reflect on how to score
If you have been using the Refractor to kill enemies, you should have killed 25 by this point and received a skill point.

The next room doesn't have any lasers, but the room after does. You can use that to make quick work of all the small enemies in these rooms. There is another bolt to turn in this room. It moves the beam splitting object closer to the next door you need to open. Once you've moved it all the way, you can jump on the pedestal in the centre. Use the laser to break all the pots in the room (you may need to move closer on the pedestal) and then re-point it at the beam splitter to open the door.

Titanium Bolt #2
This Bolt requires the Gravity Boots. In this second last room, there is a Gravity Boots surface to climb up to the south platform. Redirect the beam up here at the small sensor on the south wall. Go backwards two more rooms to the room just after the laser bridge and you will see a red door with a Gravity Boots surface beside it. Go up the wall and redirect the laser at the sensor near the east exit from the room. This will open the red door and you can get the Titanium Bolt.

In the next room clear out the enemies, and spin the bolt to move the beam splitter. You will need to bend both the split beams to open the next door.

Titanium Bolt #3
This Bolt requires the Gravity Boots. Just before turning the final corner, look up and you will see the bolt. Walk up the wall and get the Bolt on the roof.

Kill the enemies that run at you and proceed around the corner. Break the pot for some Bolts, and then proceed to the end of the hallway to trigger a cutscene.
