Rides 5 Water Rides

Walkthrough[edit]

Aqua Park is already a moderately successful park with 250+ guests coming in to try all five water-based rides: a Boat Hire, two Log Flumes, a Water Slide, and a River Rapids. They all have great test results and have different levels of intensity to satisfy all guests. However, a couple of the rides could use some tweaking, there are some things missing, and the walk to the River Rapids and back is a long one that tires out your guests.

Fixing the rides comes first. The Boat Hire isn't a complete circuit, like the one in Katie's World. However, that one was built on a small pond, meaning guests couldn't wander very far. This one rests on a giant lake, meaning some guests may venture out too far and complain that they've been on the ride too long despite the fact that they got lost by their own fault. Rebuild the Boat Hire so that it either has a complete circuit or a smaller area where they can freely roam with an easy way to get back.

As for the Water Slide, it's important to keep a close eye on it if it ever has a safety cut-out. When a safety cut-out occurs, all chains that pull vehicles to the top of the hill stop, leaving people in the ride stranded. The ride is built with three upward ramps that use these chains so sometimes, a raft will end up bumping against another raft that's stuck on the ramp. Once the ride is fixed, the two boats are still close together and the back ends up bumping with the front, messing with their momentum. They'll either end up stopping and becoming an obstacle for other boats or crash into each other and explode (somehow). Thankfully, this is an easy fix: pause the game, click on the ride to bring up its window, click on the red button twice to reset the ride, click on the green button to reopen the ride, and finally unpause. Keep in mind that you cannot reset a ride when it's broken. If resetting it becomes too frustrating, you can also edit the ride once you find the areas where the riders end up stuck. Just keep speed in mind when you're building or editing Water Slides or the boats will fly off the track and crash.

Keep a close eye on the ride when the riders get stuck.

Hire more mechanics and have one patrolling the Water Slide and Boat Hire, one patrolling the Log Flumes, and one patrolling the River Rapids. Lower the inspection time to keep these rides running smoothly and raise their prices as well. The Log Flumes alone can be at least $4.00 with how high their excitement ratings are. Hire a few handymen to patrol the areas with one surveying the Water Slide in particular since it's the most nauseating ride available. Finally, before building any rides, try to build a path from near the Boat Hire's exit to the River Rapids area to create a complete circle. You'll need one or two more handymen to cover that as well.

On to rides, build at least two bathrooms, two food stalls, and two drink stalls at opposite ends of the park. Place extra benches and trash bins if necessary. For research, you could discover the Information Kiosk first to keep guests from getting lost, then pick Roller Coasters or Thrill Rides to get more exciting rides. If you want to keep the theme of having water-related rides, you can build a Swinging Ship and a Wooden Roller Coaster. The latter has a special piece called a water splash, which can make the ride a lot more fun. It's recommended to place the water splash after a huge drop since it can slow down the train considerably. The best spots for a roller coaster are the east side just below the Log Flume rides or the west side where it's simply a forest with some hilly land. And of course, use the spacious lake when you need more room. With some effort, the goal can be reached in the second year, much less the third.
