You can't go back to tutorial island again after you leave unless you make a new account. You also can not die on the Tutorial Island.

Terrova is your last teacher. Once you have finished learning about runes from the instructor you will have completed Tutorial Island and be teleported to the city of Lumbridge on the mainland..

[edit] Little Know Facts About Tutorial Island

• All Chests, Drawers, and Cupboards are empty
• Upstairs in the church, You can play the organ upstairs (very cool) one of only 4 in Runescape, the others are in the Zamorak temple (priest in peril quest), Lumbridge church, and in seers by the graveyard. It turns on a special music that doesn't show up on the song list!
• You can chat on tutorial island like normal Runescape, you cant see a text box record, but when you hit enter it will show up on your screen, but no one else's.
• You can add friends while on the island (You have to be passed Brother Brace before you can access the friends list.)
• Combat Instructor (Vannaka) is the Edgeville slayer master
• Music is Newby Melody
• You can get every skill to 3 in tutorial island ,Except all member skills, crafting, and runecrafting. (but not 1 xp higher than lvl 3)
• No item that you put in your bank will be in your bank when you go to the mainland, all the stuff goes in you inventory (except if you make extra things like shrimp, daggers, etc., you won't get those back)
• You can only make bronze daggers on tutorial island, even if you lvl up
