Points can be scored during the game, either at the end of each act or during the act itself.

There are two bonuses at the end of each act: the Time Bonus and the Ring Bonus.
The Time Bonus is awarded for completing the act in a certain amount of time. In general, the quicker you complete an act, the greater your Time Bonus will be. Time Bonuses are awarded as follows:
0:59 or less :50,000 1:00 :10,000 (TO-DO: Insert time bonus table.)
The Ring Bonus is awarded for the number of rings you have when you complete the act. It is equal to 100 times the number of rings you have.
The most common way of scoring during an act is to destroy badniks. Individual badniks credit you with 100 points. However, it is also possible to destroy several badniks in a "chain", in order to get more points. To destroy badniks in a chain, you must destroy them, whilst remaining in a ball. If you return to your feet, you cancel the previous chain. The points build up as follows:
