This zone is covered with many moving hills, and also has tons of lava and spikes. Interesting natural features include the 'S' tunnels from the Green Hill Zone and earthquakes which cause the level of lava to rise. Other things to watch out for are the see-saws needed to reach high levels. To avoid the lava sonic will need to use hanging lines to slide across it. The boss Dr. Robotnik will be in a fire resistant submarine and uses fire to try and defeat Sonic.
