[edit] Basics
[edit] Retreating from Battle
To retreat from battle, you must hold down the Select button. When the icon on the lower right hand corner of the screen reaches the edge of the screen, you retreat from battle. If Rallen receives any damage during the process of retreating, the icon will return to the start position. You cannot retreat from Leader Krawl battle.
[edit] Defeat
Once Rallen's HP reaches zero, you are defeated. The game will resume from your Patrol Ship. When you have been defeated, you will not lose any fossils or anything you have excavated.
[edit] CH Attacks
Each Spectrobe has a special powerful attack called a CH Attack. To perform a CH Attack, you must build up the required amount of energy, which is referred as the CH Cost. To initiate a CH Attack, press 
and then either

[edit] Stroke Commands
Spectrobes uses a new form of attack command system called Stroke Commands. With some Spectrobes, just one tap on the or button will initiate an attack, while others have further sub-menus.
[edit] One-Stroke Commands
The Spectrobe will attack immediately after one tap of the L or R buttons.
[edit] Two-Stroke Commands
The Spectrobe will attack after tapping the L or R button and then pressing either one of these selections:
- - Attacks
- - Charges (Raises the CH charge speed, but leaves the Spectrobe Defenseless)
- - Stops in it's current position
- - Follows Rallen
[edit] Three-Stroke Commands
The Spectrobe will attack after tapping the L or R button, then selecting the X button and then selecting from these selections:
- - Attacks enemy B
- - Attacks enemy A
- - Attacks enemy C
[edit] Combo Attacks
Once you have built up four units of CH Energy, you now have the ability of initiating Combo attacks. A combo attack is where your two battle Spectrobes join forces to perform a combination attack. Which Combo Attack performed depends upon which Spectrobes you use. There is a wide variety of Combo attacks. Spectrobes thgat have been trained together for a long period of time in the incubator and have become friends have stronger Combo Attacks than normal.
[edit] Using Items
In order to use items in the heat of battle, you must have them prepared in the Prizmod beforehand. To use an item during battle. press 
to cycle through Rallen's weapons until you come upon the item icon. Press the 
button to use the item. A word of warning, items are one-time use only and you can only use one item during battle, so be prepared.
[edit] Support Spectrobes
The support effects of the Spectrobes set in the support section of Prizmod affect the abilities of Rallen and the battle Spectrobes during battle. The four different categories are:
- Attack (Effects your attack power)
- Defense (Effects your defense power)
- Speed (Effects your speed of movement around the battlefield)
- Charge (Effects your CH charge speed)
