Spyro: Season of Ice is the first spin-off of the Spyro the Dragon series. It starts with Spyro, Hunter, and Bianca relaxing at the beach. Meanwhile, the Rhynocs come and take Bianca's spell book for Grendor. This starts the adventure of rescuing fairies and exploring the various fairy lands.
The game starts at the Autumn Fairy Land. There are some special levels where Sparx must be used to defeat bugs in the Sparx World, with the biggest being the boss. There are also various 'Age levels', which puts Spyro in continuous flight going into an obstacle course to complete it. Every other level has Spyro melting all of at least one type of object and defeating all of the Rhynocs for that level.
