Summer Forest - The first homeworld Spyro visits in Avalar. Here, Spyro learns to hover and swim underwater, and the essential basic things that he must have knowledge of for later in the game.

Glimmer[edit]

The first level of the game, this can be viewed as a training level. Lizard-type creatures have been annoying the gemcutters (which are flying squirrels). Spyro's main duties here are to get rid of the troublemaking lizards and light the lamps before it gets dark.

Idol Springs[edit]

Ripto has placed a spell on the idols that local residents have been carving that makes them come to life. In this level, Spyro must rescue locals, and solve difficult puzzles. The supercharge power-up is also introduced when Spyro must rescue a hula girl. Incredible glides are also placed in this level that Spyro wouldn't have dreamed of before.

Colossus[edit]

Spyro must rescue the local meditators from a rampaging yeti. There will also be a hockey game that Spyro participates in! This takes place in the high mountainous regions.

Hurricos[edit]

Gear grinder thieves have stolen the essential electricity that powers a lot of the rainy Hurricos.

Sunny Beach[edit]

Spyro must save the baby turtles that have been forced away from their home. The superflame powerup is introduced when Spyro has to open chests of which some of the baby turtles have been encased in.

Aquaria Towers[edit]

All of Aquaria Towers' water has been drained and it's up to Spyro to activate the switches that Ripto's minions are guarding. Spyro gets to tame a Manta Ray and blow up sharks with an underwater flamebreath!

Crush's Dungeon[edit]

Elora tells Spyro about how Ripto arrived in Avalar. Much humor is involved: First, Ripto gets crushed by Crush and Gulp and then a fairy clings onto the "almighty" Ripto.

Boss battle: Crush[edit]

Crush is a large blue club-wielding monster who uses power-circles to unleash fearsome attacks.

Ocean Speedway (Speedway)[edit]

The first speedway, which is similar to the flights in the first Spyro game, but with more jobs to be done other than just getting all of the gems. For instance, in this level, Spyro races Hunter through rings to become the course champion for an orb.
