[edit] Returning Zerg Structures

  • Hatchery
  • The Zerg continue to use Hatcheries in StarCraft II. Two rally points are able to be set on a Hatchery; one for Drones and another for warrior units.
  • Infested Command Center
  • Spawning Pool
  • The Spawning Pool is set to appear in StarCraft II. It allows the spawning of Zerglings and offers upgrades such as increased movement.
  • Extractor
  • Evolution Chamber
  • The Evolution Chamber is set to appear in StarCraft II. Contains research upgrades for burrow (unlocks burrow), slime (Overlord), generate Creep (Overlord – this ability also increases Zerg buildings' Creep generation speed), and allows the Queen to produce Shriekers, increasing the range of the Sunken Cluster and Swarm Cluch abilities.
  • Hydralisk Den
  • The Hydralisk Den is set to appear in StarCraft II. It unlocks the Hydralisk and researches attack and armor upgrades for them. It can mutate into a Deep Warren, enabling Lurkers to be developed.

  • Infested Barracks

  • Nest
  • The Nest is a Zerg structure set to appear in StarCraft II. It allows Zerglings to morph into Banelings and contains Baneling upgrades (increased weapons and armor).
  • Roach Den
  • The Roach Den is a Zerg structure set to appear in StarCraft II. It enables the spawning of Roaches, and contains Roach upgrades (increased attack and armor).
  • Deep Warren
  • The Deep Warren is a Zerg structure set to appear in StarCraft II. It is evolved from the Hydralisk Den and is required for the development of Lurkers, also providing upgrades for them.
  • Nydus Warren
  • Expect the Queen to be able to build structures like the Sunken Cluster.
