Map of Mos Eisley
Map of Mos Eisley

Command Posts[edit]

  1. Located a far distance from the action, this CP usually gets captured near the end of the battle.
  2. Like CP 1, this CP is far away from the fighting.
  3. If CP 1 falls, this one may fall as well. Located behind some buildings, the enemy rarely touches it.
  4. The main source of the fighting is inside and outside of the arena that CP 4 is in. Beware of the turrets on top of the sail barge.
  5. A short walk from here is all it takes to get to the Cantina.
  6. The Cantina usually houses some of the fighting at the beginning of the battle, and is fairly easy to capture.

Overview[edit]

This map can be played by all four factions. It is a relatively balanced map with neither side starting with any distinct advantage. The battle usually becomes a relatively static attrition match with both sides generally controlling 3 CP's each. The CIS/Rebels start with CP's 1,2 and 4 while Republic/Empire controls 3,5 and 6. CP's are captured quite frequently by both sides, but if one side gains a CP advantage the other side ends up spawning all their troops at their few CP's, creating a large army that launches offensives and retakes the CPs, thus neither side can really uproot the other.

The map offers lots of opportunities for rooftop fighting, jet-troopers, and some sniping from the arena building which dominates the townscape.

Walkthrough[edit]

Mos Eisley is a large map, with a lot of paths leading all over the city. There are also tons of turrets stationed on rooftops, and Jawas running about, repairing said turrets. The map combines long-range action (for grunt units) and CQC (for Shotgunners).

Strategy 1[edit]

Start off by spawning at CP 5 as a Stormtrooper. Take the path to the Cantina (CP 6). Rebel forces should be outside to greet you. Give them all you got, and run inside the building once all enemy units are cleared. Take over the CP, then go back outside through the other doorway. Turn right when you get outisde and go towards the arena. A large amount of Rebels should be there, so gun them down and destroy the turret before advancing inside the small arena entrance. Before doing so, check to make sure the entrance is clear, and if not lob some grenades. Afterwards, bolt to the ramp leading up to the sail barge (CP 4), ignoring the multitude of enemy units. Take over the CP (and kill the people operating the turrets). This will allow your troopers to crush the Rebels from the inside. Wipe them out, then proceed to CP 2. The Rebels should be bottled up in here (I advise using Boba Fett at this point). Kill any snipers on the rooftops and try to capture the CP. After countless assaults, the CP should fall. If some Rebels captured CP 1, go over and retake it.

Alternatively, after you have secured CP 4, ues either a Jet troper or Boba Fett to hop between buildings, sniping as you proceed. Use abnormally tall buildings, so ground troops have a harder time retaliating.

Strategy 2[edit]

Spawn at CP 1 and make your way over to CP 2. Kill any Rebel units trying to get to CP 1 and capture CP 2. Basically, you'll do Strategy 1 in reverse, therefore cornering the enemy in the Cantina (CP 6). This strategy can be easier for you, because the Cantina is easy to capture. Go to the entrance by the crashed ship and start throwing grenades inside the building. With an Ammo Droid nearby, don't worry about running out. After a while, capture the Cantina and defeat the Rebels on the other side of the building.
