General[edit]

Utapau depicts an underground cave-city like setting as seen in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. All four factions are available to play on this map. There are 6 CP's, four of which start as neutral. Both sides have armored vehicles. The map is fairly large and quite open with long clear lines of fire for snipers as well as plenty of fun opportunities for jet-troopers.

The terrain is further notable for the huge cavernous bottomless vertical shaft occupying one full side of the map. The map is roughly divided into two avenues of attack, one being an interior roadway bordered by elevated catwalks, the other a long open plaza-like level bordered on one side by cantilevered structures protruding into the void. Arguably a third avenue of attack could be the air, because there are plenty of ledges and high-up places that only jet troopers have easy access to. The Republic/Empire starts in the hangar at the lower end, while the CIS/Rebels start with a CP comprising the high-ground at the opposite end.

Conquest[edit]

The map is fairly balanced, with a slight advantage going to the side that occupies the high-ground. So the Republic/Imperials are generally fighting to maintain the status-quo, while the Rebels/CIS are generally just on the verge of gaining a one CP advantage. Occasionally the sides will switch, with the clones/stormtroopers successfully taking the high-ground and the clinkers/rebs fighting their way into the lower hangar.

Each side is vulnerable to infiltration tactics by the player to capture their starting CP. As the Republic/Empire, just stick to the edge of the bottomless pit while fighting your way up the ramps towards the enemy's rear area. As the CIS/Rebels jump in a tank and drive directly into the hangar killing everything as you go. Both methods should be able to penetrate into the enemy CP area for a capture without too much problem.
