Chun-Li returns to the third World Warrior tournament by the third edition, albeit a little different stylistically, both in her appearance and her fighting style. She's still just as quick and agile, but her actions are more fluid as well. No longer fighting for the sake of revenge, but for the protection of others, she seems more confident in her fighting ability as well.

Having made peace with the death of her father, she continued her work as a police officer, and retired from mainstream street fighting to teach young children martial arts after taking down Shadoloo for good. She discovers that a man named Urien kidnapped a young girl for his scientific projects. Chun-Li tracks him down and manages to catch up to him. Challenging him, she does her best to fight him and Urien, impressed by his opponent's fighting spirit, agrees to let the child go. Since then, Chun-Li has continued to raise her adopted kids.

Personal Action[edit]

When you perform Chun-Li's personal action (Arcade-Button-HPunch.png+Arcade-Button-HKick.png), what bonuses she gets depends on what she does during the animation:

  • If she yawns, her stun gauge recovery rate increases. You can yawn up to three times for increased recovery.
  • If she also cracks her neck, her attack power increases for all moves but throws.
  • If she also pats her shoulder, her defense power increases.
  • If she also arches forward and stretches her hips, her attack and defense power increase.
