Stage 1-1[edit]

Super Chinese Stage 1-1.png
  • The first stage starts out as a nice introduction to the game. The screen will fill with nothing more than brown and pink Kung-Fu Commandos.
  • There are plenty of bonus items to collect in the many rocks as well as an extra life. The rock closest to the door contains a key that grants you access to a bonus room.
  • In the bonus room, you should aim to collect as many apples as possible, and only five Extra Balls to earn one extra life. Since it's impossible to collect ten Extra Balls in the time alloted to you, you should not attempt to collect more than five, since you can't add them to your total in the normal stages.

Stage 1-2[edit]

  • This stage introduces two new enemies: spear wielding Debugons, and the floor crawling Isoginchacks. Remember that Isoginchacks can only be defeated with kicks.
  • This stage also holds the first of the ten lost treasures, Talisman A. Collecting it will give you the ability to defeat Hakaidan (Mr. Coffin), who you will meet next stage.
  • The left most block on the stage contains a key that opens a stairwell to a warp zone. You can actually warp all the way to the ninth stage (stage 3-1) without fear of missing anything. However, you must have collected the punch power-up in this stage and the last in order to defeat the enemies that you will encounter there.

Stage 1-3[edit]

  • Pink Kung-Fu Commandos and Debugons are joined by Hakaidans, the coffin like creatures that like to trap you in place. If you collected Talisman A in the previous stage, you can destroy them with Kicks.
  • Another entrance to a bonus room can be found in the bottom block in the upper right corner. It is just like the bonus room in the first stage.
  • A hidden 1-Up can be found by punching the air near the center of the stage. It will simply appear if you punch the right location.

Stage 1-4[edit]

  • The last stage of the castle is filled with Debugons, Hakaidans, and Isoginchacks. However, don't be surprised if a giant Uni-gon comes out and scares all of the enemies away.
  • Fighting the Uni-gon is a dangerous proposition, especially this early in the game. You may wish to simply avoid it entirely, and run away from it until it leaves the screen.
  • The fourth stage in each castle tends to be a little sparse when it comes to power-ups. You will at least find a supply of Miracle Kicks and a punch power-up. However, you can still collect money from the other rocks and purchase a Power Ball if you collect six money bags. Don't get too greedy and spawn an X-Mark and lose all of your money!
