Stage 2-1[edit]

Super Chinese Stage 2-1.png
  • This stage introduces the Gunmen. They appear in conjunction with pink Kung-Fu Commandos. Stay on the look out for the bullets that the Gunmen fire at you. Also beware of the pit that lies in the very center of the stage. Falling in means death.
  • Two lost treasures can be collected on this stage, Talisman B and Scroll A. If you miss them on this stage, you will have a chance to collect them in stage 3-1.
  • A new type of bonus room will be introduced on this stage. It too possesses pits, and if you fall in one, the bonus room will end prematurely. Be sure to collect the first five Extra Balls and ignore the rest to focus on Apples.

Stage 2-2[edit]

  • A number of enemies come at you in this stage, including Gunmen, Kung-Fu Commandos, and Isoginchacks. A new enemy is also introduced: the stone beam shooting Princess Cats. Beware of their petrifying spell.
  • The bonus room in stage returns to the more familiar style that you've seen in the first castle.
  • You can turn the tables on the Gunman by collecting the Gun Ball, and shooting fireballs at this with your fists. Enemies will run away from you while you possess this power, but they tend to flock around the warp tunnels, making them easy targets.

Stage 2-3[edit]

  • Gunmen and Kung-Fu Commandos are joined by Hakaidans in this stage. Since these Kung-Fu Commandos are pink, they use Kick attacks. They like to use them at the same time as you which results in you flipping past each other. Rely on punch attacks from the corners instead.
  • Don't miss the chance for a free extra life hidden in the lower right hand corner of the stage.
  • Collect the Gun Ball if you need a breather since it will keep the enemies away from you until your power runs out.

Stage 2-4[edit]

  • A new enemy is introduced in this stage: the kick invulnerable Buffalo Bison. You can only kill them with Punch attacks so be on guard. Gunmen accompany them throughout the stage.
  • Another first in this stage is the appearance of the Inazuma Lightning trap. An arc of lightning will periodically race across the floor, including right at the start of the stage. Be sure to leap over the lightning or you'll get fried.
  • The only power-up to be collected from this stage is the extra Miracle Kicks in the upper left hand corner.
  • A Uni-gon is sure to appear at some point in the stage. If you have 6 money bags collected, now is a good time to trade them in for a Power Ball and do away with the Uni-gon instantly.
