Single Fight Bonuses[edit]

After clearing a level in single player mode, you get bonuses depending on how well you performed. Some bonuses can only be gotten in certain stages. All bonuses that exist in the game are listed here. If there is a second point value, it applies to Japanese version.

Be careful when using Link, since his bomb (Down control + B button) counts as items.

Bonus name Points How to achieve
Cheap Shot −99 Repeat one attack too often during combat to get this.
Fighter Stance 100 Press the L button to perform your stance as the fight ends.
No Item 1000/5000 Do not use any item throughout the battle.
Acid Clear 1500/1000 On Planet Zebes, have the opponent die by the acid.
Throw Down 2000 Kill the opponent by throwing him.
Tornado Clear 3000 On Hyrule Castle, have the opponent die by the tornadoes appearing in the level.
Jackpot 3330 Have all the digits of your damage meter the same, i. e. 11%, 22%, et cetera. Note that you need more than 10% to get this bonus.
Smash Mania 3500 Use only smash moves throughout the battle.
ARWING Clear 4000 On Sector Z, have the opponent die by the Arwings strafing the level.
Full Power 5000 Finish the battle with 0% damage.
No Miss 5000/1500 (multiplies) Finish the battle without dying. For every battle you finished without dying, an additional 5000 (1500 in Japanese version) points are added to this bonus, up to 55,000(16,500) for finishing Master Hand without dying. Note though that as soon as you die once (except bonus games), you will not get this bonus anymore.
Judo Master 5000 In a battle involving multiple foes, kill all foes by throwing them.
Smash-less 5000/3000 Do not use any smash moves throughout the battle.
Special Move 5000 Use only special moves (B button) throughout the battle.
Mystic 7000 Kill yourself, but have the opponent be killed while you are not on the battlefield.
Good Friend 8000 On Peach's Castle, have your ally survive the match.
Last Second 8000 Finish the battle with only one second left on the clock.
Shield Breaker 8000 Break the enemy's shield during combat.
Single Move 8000 Use only one single move throughout the battle (only moves that hit your opponent count).
Vegetarian 9000 Collect three Maxim Tomatoes during combat.
Lucky 3 9990 Finish the battle with exactly 3:33 left on the clock.
Butterfly 10000 Constantly jump throughout the entire battle.
Comet Mystic 10000 Be shot up through the stage boundaries so you fall down in the background and are about to die, but have your opponent be killed before this happens.
DK Defender 10000/7000 On Kongo Jungle, have both your allies survive the match.
Item Pitcher 10000 Kill the opponent by throwing an item at him.
Speedster 10000/8000 Finish the battle within thirty seconds (no matter if you have enabled time limit or not).
Star Finish 10000/2000 Kill the opponent by shooting him upwards through the stage boundary. It does not matter whether the opponent disappears in the background as a star literally, or falls off the foreground.
Bumper Clear 11000 Kill the opponent using a Bumper.
Pokémon Finish 11000 Kill the opponent using a Pokémon emerging from one of your Pokéballs.
Trickster 11000 In a battle involving multiple foes, kill all foes by shooting them upwards through the stage boundary.
Booby Trap 12000 Kill the opponent using a mine, aka Motion Sensor Bomb.
Shooter 12000 Use only projectiles throughout the battle, i. e. Samus' cannon shot, Fox' gun, etc.
Star Clear 12000 Kill the opponent while invincible by collecting a star.
All Variations 15000 Use all of your A button button moves during combat.
Mew Catch 15000 Have Mew appear from a Pokéball during combat.
No Damage 15000/10000 Finish the battle without ever taking damage. This also applies to Bonus 3, Race to the Finish.
Item Throw 16000 Throw all items you collect during combat.
Heartthrob 17000 Collect three Heart Containers during combat.
Hawk 18000 Use only aerial moves (A button while airborne) during combat.
Item Strike 20000 Use only items throughout the battle, never use any other attack.
Bros. Calamity 25000 On Peach's Castle, kill one of the Mario brothers before the other takes any damage.
Kirby Ranks 25000 On Kirby's Dreamland, kill all of the Kirbies in the order they appear.
True Friend 25000/30000 On Peach's Castle, have your ally survive the match unharmed (with 0% damage). Your own damage meter does not interfere.
Heavy Damage 28000 Finish the battle with more than 200% damage.
Perfect 30000 Finish Bonus 1 (Break the Targets) or 2 (Board the Platforms) completely.
DK Perfect 50000 On Kongo Jungle, have both your allies survive the match unharmed (with 0% damage). Your own damage meter does not interfere.
Yoshi Rainbow 50000 On Yoshi's Island, kill all of the Yoshi's in the order they appear.
Pacifist 60000/30000 Finish the battle without ever dealing damage to the opponent. [1]

Note that there is no bonus even if you defeat all Fighting Polygon Team members in the order they appear.

Total Bonuses[edit]

After defeating Master Hand, you get special bonuses (marked in red) about your total performance in single player mode.

First, you get a bonus based on your selected difficulty:

Easy Clear 140000 Finish single player mode on Easy difficulty.
Normal Clear 210000 Finish single player mode on Normal difficulty.
Hard Clear 280000 Finish single player mode on Hard difficulty.
Very Hard Clear 350000/200000 Finish single player mode on Very Hard difficulty.

Then, you may get other bonuses:
