Stage[edit]

Super Thunder Blade S1 screen.png

Stage 1 takes place in a straight-line city environment, with tanks on the streets and helicopters flying overhead. In addition to destroying as many enemies as you can, your primary goal is survival. In order to avoid getting shot down, you must move constantly. This stage provides a fairly open space for you to fly around in, with minimal risk for collision. Practice flying around in a circular motion, but avoid flying far enough to either side to risk hitting a building. Fire constantly while you move around for maximum damage.

Mid-boss[edit]

Maneater Sub-Commander (TM-91B2) in western manual or MANEATER [TM-91B2] in japanese manual. Exclusive to Super Thunder Blade. A large tank with three missile launchers and a High-Power Mason Cannon. Destroy the turrets on its sides and main gun to clear it. Continue to fly around in a circular motion to avoid all of the shots that it fires at you.

Boss[edit]

Seaminer Commander (CVA-65) in western manual or SEAMINER [CVA-65] in japanese manual. It's actually a different kind of ship than the one in Thunder Blade, which was an aircraft carrier. This ship is much wider, carries aircraft, and missile launcher are placed on the sides. Avoid the cannons on the carrier's floor and destroy the grounded planes for more points.

You can't move in a circle in this mode, only back and forth. Your only control over your forward motion is the air brake. While you may be tempted to fly back and forth in an attempt to destroy every gun on both sides, you're better off sticking to one side during the first half of the boat.
