Drivel specifics: Remove first person viewpoint

For these missions, unless I state otherwise, I used an un-upgraded Yoshiki with the Beginner's Ball and Beginner Clubs and no accessories. There are times when I quote a specific power percentage or club, but that may be different depending on what character you are playing with or if any of these items or players are upgraded.

A Missions[edit]

Mission A1[edit]

  • Make 3 shots to within 16 ft of the cup
The first mission is relatively easy if you know the controls. There's only a 4 ft rise in elevation, you start on the fairway, the green is relatively flat, and you have a huge margin of error. This should be a piece of cake.

Mission A2[edit]

  • Make 3 shots to within 3 ft of the cup
There's a smaller margin of error for this one, but it is just as straightforward. Give the ball backspin (hold Down dpad) and hit it at 80% - 85%. You have seven chances, so don't worry if you miss a few.

Mission A3[edit]

  • Get 2 Excellent shots in succession with 50% power or more.
This one's mostly luck, but otherwise is a freebie. Don't worry about where the ball lands, just focus on moving the C-stick in a straight line. You could launch the ball off into a lake and still win as long as the shot was rated "Excellent".

Mission A4[edit]

  • Make 3 shots to within 7 ft of the cup
This is the first mission the presents a challenge. We're in a bunker, the hole is about 3 ft uphill, and the green is tilted to the left. There is a relatively generous margin of error, however, so it isn't too hard. Aim just a hair to the left of the hole and hit the ball at 55% - 60%. Whether or not the ball rolls close enough to the hole to count will depend mostly on luck. If the shot percentage (the percentage at the lower right of the screen) is around 80% or 90%, you should make it. Otherwise, just keep trying, as you have plenty of chances to make it.

Mission A5[edit]

  • Make 3 shots to within 10 ft of the cup
This one is almost a gimme after the last one. The hole is 5 yards uphill, but you're on the fairway and the green is flat. Hit the ball slightly harder than where the yellow flag is (75% - 80% if what I used), and you'll be just fine. If you're still having trouble with it, though, try adding backspin by pressing Down dpad to minimize the time the ball spends rolling.

Mission A6[edit]

  • Make 3 shots to within 10ft of the cup
The first thing you want to look at it the shot percentage in the lower right. For this particular shot, it is (85% - 100%). This means that most likely, you will not hit it as hard as the power bar suggests. So give the ball backspin to minimalize the chance of strange bounces and hit it about a notch over the flag (I used about 90%). As long as the shot percentage is in the high 80s or low 90s, you should get it. Don't worry about it if you miss a few, though- it can't be helped.

Mission A7[edit]

  • Hole 3 putts in a row
This one is relatively easy introduction to a new style of challenge. Instead of getting it close, you are asked to actually get it in. On this particular shot, it is a downhill roll to the green, so don't hit it over the yellow flag mark on the power bar. It's a straight shot, so don't worry about aiming. Focus more on making sure to hit it at just the right amount of power- just under the yellow flag mark. It was just under 100% for Yoshiki.

Mission A8[edit]

  • Putt to within 10 ft of the cup 3 times.
Don't let the moving lines on the green fool you- this one is also a straight shot. Hit it with a little more power than the yellow flag advertises, and it might even go in. I hit it at 70% and it went in each time.

Mission A9[edit]

  • Putt to within 3 ft of the cup 3 times.
There's a lot of fairway between where you are and the cup, so hit it 20% - 30% harder than usual. I know it feels weird to hit it so hard, but it's uphill too, so it all evens out in the end. The margin of error is quite small, so don't worry if you miss the mark a couple of times. I hit it at about 75% with Yoshiki.

Mission A10[edit]

  • Hole out at par or under
This one almost doesn't feel like a mission. There's not much more I can say about this one than just do what you do during a normal game.

B Missions[edit]

Mission B1[edit]

  • Get 3 shots that land on one of the islands
This one is not as bad as it sounds- especially since the terrain is shown in the power meter. Just make sure to give it backspin (hold Down dpad) for a shorter run. For Yoshiki, I switched to power shot (press B button), gave it backspin and fade (hold Down dpad + Left dpad), and hit it at as close to 100% as I could.

Mission B2[edit]

  • Make 3 shots to within 3 ft of the cup
At least you start on the fairway, but you have a very small margin of error. Give it backspin so that it avoids the first part of the green that has a tilt and land the power bar as close to the yellow flag as you can.

Mission B3[edit]

  • Get 2 Excellent shots in succession with 50% power or more
Again, this one has everything to do with your hand dexterity and nothing on where the ball lands. If you wish, aim out to sea or at your caddy and hit it as hard as you can. If the shot was straight, you'll pass anyway.

Mission B4[edit]

  • Make 3 shots to within 10 ft of the cup
Once again, we are forced to shoot off of the golf cart path (as if this situation every happens in an actual game). Anyway, the error margin is lenient and it all depends on the shot percentage. Hit it at 10%-15% above the flag mark with backspin. With these conditions, the ball is bound to land within the acceptable zone at least 3 times.

Mission B5[edit]

  • Make 3 shots to within 7 ft of the cup
We're back in the rough for this shot and the shot percentage will be between 80% and 100%. Aim to the left so that the first vertical line (the solid line) of the grid to the left of your ball lines up with the hole (if it helps, zoom in on the pin using Up control). Give the ball backspin to skip as much of the tilted part of the green as possible and hit it at about 10% higher than the yellow flag indicates. Although you may have some rogue shots that are near 100% or in the seventies, most of the shots should be in the mid 80% range, landing the ball close enough to the hole.

Mission B6[edit]

  • Hole 3 putts in a row
For the first time, we're not aimed directly at the hole. Turn to the left and hit B button to switch to power mode. Zoom in on the pin using Up control and line up the bottom point of the yellow triangle with the center of the pin. Now here's where luck comes into play. Depending on whether your character hits it at 100% and 99%, the ball may be going either too fast or not fast enough. Hit the ball at about 10% more than where the yellow flag is on your power meter. The ball will go in more often than not and, with luck and enough shots, you'll get 3 in a row.

Mission B7[edit]

  • Make 3 shots to within 7 ft of the cup
Didn't we just do one just like this one? At any rate, the pin is straight ahead, so give the ball some backspin and hit it at 10% higher than the yellow flag on the power bar. If the percentage is in the 80's or low 90's, you'll get credit for it.

Mission B8[edit]

  • Hole out twice within 2 strokes
This one can be very frustrating. Thank goodness we've got 10 tries to make it. The first thing you need to do is to switch down to the 4 Iron. Give the ball some backspin and hit it 20% more than the yellow flag on the power bar indicates. With luck, you'll hit it at a percentage that lands you on the green. Because the shots are quite random, you're on your own for the second shot. Don't get too frustrated if the ball plops into the bunker a couple of times- it happens. Keep at it and you'll eventually get 2 out of the 10.

Mission B9[edit]

  • Make 3 shots to within 16 ft of the cup
This one isn't a big deal. If you're not very good at making the power meter stop at the very top, switch to the 2 Iron. Give the ball backspin so it lands on the green and hit it at the power that the yellow flag indicates. Sometimes, the ball may hit the rough and bounce awkwardly, but there's a large enough margin of error to make this one easy.

Mission B10[edit]

  • Hole out at par or under
Play this one just like a normal hole. As long as they're just going to hand it to you on a silver platter, you might as well take them.

Mission C2[edit]

You’ll need some serious strategy for this hole, pick Carlos as his natural draw to the left is essential in the execution. Aim very slightly right of the cactus, you’ll probably hit it a few times trying to get close enough but not too far. From there you’ll need to fire at flag on the power bar. This is one of the hardest challenges there is but it’s not impossible.
