Why is only DOS listed as an OS that NetHack can be played on? I believe that it is available for more OSes than I can name. --Tathar (talk|contribs) 12:35, 24 October 2007 (CDT)
- Possibly because the original author didn't know about the other versions, or we didn't cater for those platforms at the time? Just add them. ;-) --DrBob (talk) 12:44, 24 October 2007 (CDT)
- Do we even have system images for all of them? --Tathar (talk|contribs) 00:49, 30 January 2008 (CST)
- Probably not, but that doesn't really matter. If we don't have a system image, the templates display the name of the system instead. System images can always be added later. --DrBob (talk) 01:31, 30 January 2008 (CST)
- I'll have to find out just how many OSes that it's available for. I know for sure that there's a Windows, Unix-based, and homebrew DS version, among others. I think that there are even some frontends that use either Java or telnet. Since the frontend and backend are written separately from each other and it doesn't take a full rewrite of the code to build a version for a new OS, it might be futile to try to keep up with them all. --Tathar (talk|contribs) 12:15, 30 January 2008 (CST)

- After someone changed the systems to cross-platform (which was better than before) and Prod reverted it, I did what I could. I'm sure I goofed on some of the categories or system names. --Tathar (talk|contribs) 13:02, 16 February 2008 (CST)
This is Level 3?[edit]
I find it hard to believe that such an extremely deep game as Nethack could be covered by such a short guide. This is level 2 at the most unless I'm missing something and it just happens that it's not in the ToC. --Tathar (talk|contribs) 00:51, 30 January 2008 (CST)
"Guidebook"[edit]
The description mentions "the Guidebook". What is that? Is this text "borrowed" from somewhere else?--Henke37 (talk) 17:35, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- That would be this page. --Tathar (talk|contribs) 19:07, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
