Pokémon Mystery Dungeon search[edit]

I've tried a bunch of keywords for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, including "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon", "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Blue Resuce Team", etc., but nothing comes up. Anyone know which word does it? Myth 19:19, 25 June 2007 (CDT) (User talk:Myth)

You probably used "e" rather than "é". MediaWiki's search engine is very picky; since that page doesn't have the unaccented "Pokemon" in its title or text the search can't find it. Google and the like are more forgiving because they have associated "Pokemon" with "Pokémon" (so that searching for either one gets the same results). I've redirected Pokemon Mystery Dungeon there now, so once the search database spiders that redirect it should be easier to reach. GarrettTalk 21:04, 25 June 2007 (CDT)
it works now, thanks a bunch ^_^. BTW, not all Pokemon Pages are picky: Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, for example, does not require it. Myth 23:45, 25 June 2007 (CDT)
That's because a redirect exists at Pokemon diamond and pearl; unlike page links searches aren't case-sensitive, so even searching for PoKeMoN DIAMOND aNd PEARL would still reach the page because of this one redirect. You can tell when you've arrived by a redirect because you'll see (Redirected from Pokemon diamond and pearl) at the top and the URL will be that of the redirect rather than the target. Everything is the Hardest[edit]

After editing a handful of pages I noticed something kind of funny. Almost every page later in the guide declares itself the most difficult dungeon.

Instead of making a vague statement along these lines it would be better to state what aspects make the dungeon difficult. It should be a given that the farther a dungeon appears in the game the longer and more difficult it will be. Also, it could simply be the ultimate variable of what types the Pokémon and their partner are. The Eevee/Chickorita team(me) is going to claim the fire levels are the hardest while Totodile/Charmander thinks they are easy.

  • Good types to bring
  • How to struggle through with ineffective/vulnerable types (For here the 3rd team *Specific perils to look out for (Hail is a good example)

Can anyone else think of good things to suggest or clarify in the dungeon pages? Tiny Woods and Thunderwave Cave are our only examples of "finished" pages. I'm personally not as good with writing advice as I am with covering the story and data bits.

We should also think of what the basic advice for dungeons are and not have to repeat them every page. Things like: Bring food to keep your belly full and If a dungeon is too difficult either take a break and do some random missions to build up your level or leave all your good items and money in town and keep on tackling the troublesome dungeon until strong enough to get all the way through.

Just throwing some things out there since any discussion on this will lead to what is needed to make some great advice for people that may be struggling. --Zaiqukaj 09:05, 19 January 2008 (CST)

Ok, a good idea is probably to add a Tips sidepage that people should refer to where you can compile all of the tips that are needed in the game. also, you can put sidebar like the one here that you can add related tips to a dungeon here. One problem with doing a guide like mystery dungeon is due to the sheer variety of starters, you couldn't possibly cover all of these aspects with just a few people, but hey, something's better than nothing. Anyways, Peace out, God Bless. Halosonic 19:01, 19 January 2008 (CST)

Completion stage[edit]

Hey Zaiqukaj, you you think that we could see if we could get the guide moved up to completion stage 2? I think we've done enough work to move it up. this guide has made great progress from since i first came across it last year, so it certainly is worth more then Level 1 Completion. Peace out, God Bless. Halosonic 10:19, 3 February 2008 (CST)

I have to agree, the guide is really coming along… And it's my goal to get all of the area info transferred from Bulbapedia within the next 2 weeks so at least each area will have its encounter info there. I’m still in shock they have the encounter rate percentages. --Zaiqukaj 03:12, 4 February 2008 (CST)
Whew it takes a while to convert things and double check those Pokémon types. Just a handful of huge lists are left and then I can focus more on some of our pages drivel. I just wanted to clarify when I state the types are from memory that means I’m pretty sure they are correct… but I do screw up sometimes. I did however look up the ones I wasn’t completely confident were correct. Once the guide also has a lot more walkthrough content I’m going to have to find some people to proof read it. --Zaiqukaj 08:17, 23 March 2008 (CDT)
