I changed the red links at the top to inter-wiki links to wikipedia, because they're proably (the readers) not want a wikibook on the subject , but information about the subject in my oppinion.Bawolff 12:41, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Ahhh!!! What happened since last year???[edit]
Hi all. I am Ernie Werbel (Stovetopcookies), and founder of this article when it was still on Wikipaedia. I started it w/o being logged in unfortunately so it showed my I.P. address instead.
Well I just want to say that I like the fact that my article is stil alive, and I like where it is going. People are doing a great job maintaining it.
What I don't really like is this new layout for Strategy Wiki. I feel it is too confusing and cumbersome. Too many lines and colors. I would prefer it to have a regular Wikipaedia appearance, as it did when I originally began writing it. There's just too much "stuff" on the screen making the reading material very difficult to follow.
Well I've said my peace. It's quite lifting to see my creation being enjoyed by so many people. I have seen pieces of my article ported on other sites. Hey I guess that's what the GNU free license means. Anyone can do anything with it.
And that is the way I intended for it to be. My contribution to the world, and a tribute to one of my favorite video games that has intrigued me since childhood. I like to think that my article sparks a glint of interest in a fellow gamer, perhaps a young one who has never experienced this fine game. It would bring me joy to see a resurgance in SimEarth's popularity, possible in part, brought on by people having read my article and finding interest in it.
Good luck with it and I hope it continues to shine (despite it being overshadowed by this weird layout... sorry I just had to get that in again). It never ceases to amaze me how quickly the time goes, and how much change can be done.

- Well, what happened is described in endless detail at Wikibooks' Staff Lounge. Long story short Jimbo Wales (the founder of Wikipedia/Wikibooks/etc.) said videogame guides did not fit into Wikibooks' mission statement, and so an effort has been made to find alternate hosting for the material there. As for the stylistic changes there's not much that can be done, but you can switch back to Monobook for your own viewing (Special:Preferences > Skin > MonoBook). GarrettTalk 22:51, 24 May 2006 (PDT)
