Tunics optional or not[edit]

I think we should use the principle of least astonishment when declaring things optional or not. Getting the tunics is part of the story and normal players won't know how to get through the game without them. Avoiding the tunics is for an advanced playthrough, which—while certainly worth mentioning—should be in a section for such advanced topics or as a note in the main section. For instance, the text next to the "optional" red tunic states the fire temple cannot even be attempted without it, which creates an unnecessary contradiction in the guide. — najzereT 11:35, 5 April 2012 (UTC)

It didn't make sense though that the Goron Tunic was set as "not optional" while the Zora Tunic was set as "optional". Novice players won't be able to beat the game without either, since some of the Water Temple passages can be quite difficult without the Zora Tunic. There should be some kind of consistency. -- 3155ffGd 11:39, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
No, I think you did the right thing changing the Zora tunic to not optional. I just wanted to put down a rationale here. Thanks for the quick response! — najzereT 14:05, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
