Cover image=Spoiler?[edit]

Could that image be considered a spoiler? I don't know about you, but finding out before I play a significant part of the game that Ganon's the big bad guy would have spoiled the surprise for me. I know that the King of Red Lions tells you that he's Ganon rather early on (far too early, in my opinion; he should have introduced himself after the second Forbidden Fortress), but still. --aniki21 04:35, 20 January 2006 (PST)

  • I was thinking about that too. Probably should replace it with a better image. --Hack 09:34, 20 January 2006 (PST)
  • Hm, yes. How about something like this or this instead? GarrettTalk 13:24, 20 January 2006 (PST)
    • Great suggestions. I went ahead and uploaded both, and I set the latter one as the poster. The Ganon image was way too much of a spoiler. --Echelon 20:55, 20 January 2006 (PST)

teh zelda = teh rox?[edit]

In my opinion, this deviates from the spirit of the rest of the guide. Just my opinion. What do you think?--Abunai 16:34, 27 February 2006 (CST)

I agree, and I'll change it myself. --echelon talk 18:29, 4 March 2006 (PST)

Collaberation.[edit]

Now that my guide is mentioned, I'd love to work on it but I do need some time to sort out the info on the existed guide before I get started. For example, I'll get a headache if I come across a page full of garbage so I'll take out the ones that doesn't fit in the article that is not related. To put in other words, I'd check the guide's overall content to get an idea where to go with this article. You may not understand me but this is my method of editing. I will need new ways of editing so that it stays fresh. If you want to collaberate all you have to do is put in your name and experiment with this article. If you have ideas, put it in and try it out.

Here's the problem: The main part of the article's info has the story and gameplay and I feel those info can be better placed in one of the content pages. I would do it but I still need to deal with the pages "Getting Started" and "Controls" before I put those info in a better place. Johnnyauau2000 12:23, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

Those sections are fine on the main page. A story section, if it's short like that has precedent as front page material, and the other section is just misnamed. "Gameplay" should be on its own page, but the section here is talking in very general terms and compares Wind Waker to early Zelda games. I'll try an think of another name for that section (or you can). If you're wondering where to get started with editing, I suggested on my talk page that you could fill out any missing information in the Appendices, which would be helpful. Looking forward to seeing your contributions. :) - najzere 16:46, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
It may look fine on a page but I also feel it's much of a spoiler than anything else. That's why I feel those sections can be moved to a page that's suitable for storytelling and gameplay spilling. So it will be better to either move or add a new page in the Table of Contents. Johnnyauau2000 05:11, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Rename some pages[edit]

I think we should consider renaming the guide pages Din's Pearl, Farore's Pearl, and Nayru's Pearl to Dragon Roost Island, The Forbidden Woods, and Greatfish Isle. Perhaps adopting a format similar to IGN's guide for the game, where we have pages named by their location rather than using both location names and item names for our page titles. I think it would make the guide index more consistent. Teddy(talk) 15:42, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

I went ahead and decided to make the changes I suggested. The dungeon pages were just too long to be grouped with other sections of the walkthrough. Teddy(talk) 16:51, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
I'm not sure if you want to keep it. There's a page called "Theories" and I'm not going to delete it if someone else wants to keep it. Speaking of which I'm terrible using the delete log without reason so unless you have great ideas, it's inevitable. If "Theories" is important, I would come up with "theories", just to fill in the page but there's a line between keeping the page with useful information or not. Johnnyauau2000 06:11, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
The Theories page looks pretty useless to me. --Pelago 20:55, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
The only information on the Theories page, about the Magic Armour, is best placed on another page, such as Items or Secrets. I would say move that info to an appropriate page, and then the Theories page can be deleted. It doesn't contain any actual theories, which are not of much use to the player in completing the game, and so probably shouldn't be there at all. Moydow T · C 21:08, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
I guess that makes sense. I'll use the delete log after I do some more checking on where it should go with the "Theories" page. Johnnyauau2000 07:20, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Question[edit]

Should there be a separate page like ocarina of time and master quest. Because I know that they removed and moved some locations of the treasure chest in the Wii U HD version game and tingle tuner removed for tingle bottle as well, just wondering. -- RodKimble (talk) 22:17, 7 August 2014 (UTC)

Ideally, yes, there should be a new page which indicates the changes found in the HD version from the original version. Additionally, notes should be added to the walkthrough, wherever possible and within reason, which indicate to the reader where changes have occurred so that they can follow the walkthrough without getting particularly confused. Procyon 01:24, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
{{sidebar}} typically handles those changes in the walkthrough. A The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker/Versions page would be good. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 16:16, 8 August 2014 (UTC)

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD[edit]

I think the Wind Waker HD should get it's own front page, since it was an expanded re-release. -- Prod (talk) 21:52, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Agreed. Procyon 22:52, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
