Articles will automatically be put into the deprecated template usage category by this template once the date of their release has passed. From there, this template can either be removed from them, or its date updated.

• system: Set to 1 (or any value) to indicate that this is an unreleased system, rather than an unreleased game, and change the template's wording accordingly.
• year: The year of release.
• month: The month of release, as a number or string suitable for input to {{#time:...}}.
• day: The day of release, as a number suitable for input to {{#time:...}}.
