This template displays a series of bars showing the system requirements for a PC game against the current modern gaming computer specifications.
Parameters
- cpu: The required CPU frequency in MHz (max: 3000).
- ram: The required RAM in MiB (max: 2048).
- hdd: The required hard drive space in MiB (max: 10240).
- vram: The required video RAM in MiB (max: 1024).
- net: The required internet speed in Kibps (max: 8192).
- cd: The required optical drive speed (see Wikipedia for info; max: 52).
- dvd is also accepted for games requiring a DVD drive
- dx: The required DirectX version/hardware support (max: 10).
- win: The minimum required version of Windows (95, 98, me, 2000, xp, sp2 (for XP SP2) and vista are allowed).
- osx: The minimum required version of Mac OS X.
- tux: The minimum required version of Linux (typically the version of glibc against which the game was compiled — for example "glibc 2.4").
- extra: Anything else.
There is also an extra parameter you can use to add plain-text notes or extra information. Try to use it sparingly, and incorporate information into other parameters where possible. However, using the extra parameter is infinitely more preferable than leaving plain-text in {{infobox}}'s requirements parameter.
Future
In the future, the maximums for each specification will need to be raised. When this is done, simply change the total parameter for the relevant {{progress bar}} inclusion, and update the documentation (both here and in the PC category) too.
