Take 0 is the closest to a tutorial level that you're going to get. It is relatively easy as long as you stay out of the way of Mysterio's robots. If you're looking to beat the game quickly, it is possible to bypass the entire game by running across the ceiling of the building in front of you (see the glitches section). If you want to play through the game normally, read on.

In the Beginning[edit]

Notice the green slime on the ceiling. If you try to crawl across the ceiling, you will slip off and fall to the floor.

You start off outside the studio. Use the arrow keys to move Spidey up the large blue radiator-like object and onto the helicopter. In just about any other game, jumping onto a helicopter's rotors will kill you, but these rules seem to be suspended here. There is a switch center of the rotors that will cause the helicopter to raise you up to the roof. If you fall off the helicopter, just stand under it, shoot a web up to it, and climb back up. Once on the roof, step on either of the green switches surrounding the orange tiles to gain access to the building.

Though it's not necessary for story completion, if you're going for a high score, you can run across the roof to the right and climb up into a new screen: Black Thunder. From here, climb to the center of the helicopter and jump off mid flight to access Mysterio's End. Because this screen is the last one, it is very difficult to get a full score for this screen otherwise. When you're finished watching Mysterio pacing around, jump back up on the helicopter and jump off again mid flight to get back to the Foyer.

Climb down the rather large stairs and up onto the bookshelf and walk into the next screen. Here's where we get to test how well you can sling a web. Hit  ↑  to jump out and, while still holding these keys, hit space to sling a web. As you are on the upswing, hit space to cut the web and hit it again (while still holding the arrow keys) to sling a new web. Cutting this web at the end of the swing should land you on the upper level with orange tiles.

When you're up there, get on top of the blue couch, directly under the orange ceiling light. Hit space and  ↑  to shoot a web up to the light. The web will instantly detach as it hits the light, which is secretly a switch. The switch removes the barrier to the upper level, so jump up there and go to the left back into the first screen.

Make sure you shut the clacker to save your progress.
The green slime on the floor here will make you slip. Once you land on it, you can jump up, but you can't change direction. It's not a problem now, but it will be later on.

If you landed on the slime, you will hit the office chair (or large blue microphone as you may see it). To switch to the roof without touching the robot patrolling up here, hold and  ↑ . You will instantly attach to the roof as you walk off the office chair. Neat trick, huh? Hit the switch behind the cabinet, either by jumping on it or hitting it with a web, to open yet another secret door. Jump back down, swinging back over the blue mummy robot, over the blue bookshelf and hit the switch under the large staircase.

This switch opens a door on the far side of the next room. Climb back up the bookshelf and swing back across over the blue mummy robot. You are now in the lift. Walk straight across into the next room. This room is one of the few healing rooms. The blue crystals on the floor will restore your health, although they make the same sound as things that hurt you. Walk onto the blue crystals to heal any wounds you got in the previous few screens. When you're completely healed, jump up onto the top of the large movie clacker to save your progress.
