Weapons[edit]

Club Staff of Fennel
Battle of Olympus item club.png
You begin the game with a club. It is the weakest weapon, but it should serve you well enough until you can obtain a stronger weapon.

You will receive this staff in return for rescuing a lost child. Stronger than the club, you won't be able to unleash its full power to throw fire until you rescue yet another person.
Sword Divine Sword
Battle of Olympus item sword.png
The sword is the second most powerful weapon in the game. You'll have to defeat a powerful monster in the forest to obtain it. Other than its fine blade, it contains no special properties.

A sword crafted by the god of smithing and craftsmanship, Hephaestus, it is the strongest weapon in the game, imbued with powerful magic that harms the user. But you won't get this weapon for free.

Usable items[edit]

Harp of Apollo Ocarina
Battle of Olympus item harp of apollo.png
If you locate Apollo's temple deep in the forests of Peloponnesus, he will grant you the use of his harp. When its strings are plucked in front of the statues of the sun, a Pegasus will come and carry you off to a distant location.

The ocarina is given to you by Poseidon, god of the sea. In a similar manner to Apollo's harp, the ocarina can be used to summon an animal's aide. In this case, when placed at the shore, a dolphin will appear and carry you across the ocean. The ocarina also has the power to awaken slumbering giants.
Trojan Pitcher Nectar

With life restoring fountains very far and few between, it would be helpful to have something that allows you to carry nectar wherever you go. This pitcher is hidden inside a particular column in Laconia. If you find it, you may use it to gather spring water and drink it when you need it.

Nectar can fully restore all damage that Orpheus has sustained. Nectar cannot ordinarily be transported without a special pitcher. When the Trojan Pitcher is used to collect water from various springs and fountains, it is transformed into Nectar, and can be used whenever necessary
Eye of Graeae Moon Crystal
Battle of Olympus item eye of graeae.png
After defeating the three Graeae witch sisters, you can obtain the crystal eye that they share among themselves in order to see. The Eye of Graeae has the ability to see that which cannot ordinarily be seen. Use it to discover hidden passages.
Battle of Olympus item moon crystal.png
The Moon Crystal is a special gift given to you by goddess Artemis. It possesses the power to control the moon. Such power may not be all that useful to you until you engage in battle with Hades himself.

Automatic Items[edit]

Sandals of Hermes Shield of Athena
Battle of Olympus item hermes sandals.png
The sandals of hermes are legendary for the amazing movements they grant the wearer. Not only do they allow someone to jump higher than normal, they allow someone to jump to, and stick to, the ceiling or tree tops.
Battle of Olympus item athena shield.png
The shield that you begin the game with is not much of a shield at all. Projectiles will still hurt you. You must locate Athena in Athens in order to be truly equipped with a shield that can reflect the slings and arrows of your enemies.
Salamander Shield Key
Battle of Olympus item salamander shield.png
While a great upgrade in protection, even Athena's shield can't protect you from fire. It takes the work of a witch to construct a shield that is capable of such a feat. In addition to the high cost, this witch will require materials: 20 skins from defeated salamanders, magical creatures with a natural immunity to fire.
Battle of Olympus item key.png
While most doors are freely open to Orpheus, a few will remain locked until he can get his hands on a key. A man in Athens has the key, but he will not give it up until he is shown proof of your courage. One token of Helene's love will be required to obtain the key.
Bracelet of Power
Battle of Olympus item power bracelet.png
While better weapons will improve your ability to strike down your foes, the Bracelet of Power will double your strength with any weapon. Granted to you by Ares, the god of war, it also prevents you from suffering any harm when you utilize the power of Argus, contained within the Divine Sword.

Obtainable Items[edit]

Olives Bay Leaves

In ancient Greece, olives are such a precious commodity that they are actually used for the exchange of goods and services. Often dropped by defeated enemies, be sure to collect them whenever you can and save them up for important purchases.
Battle of Olympus item bay leaf.png
Orpheus will sustain damage when he comes in contact with enemies, or gets hit by projectiles. While there are ways to completely revive your health, they are often hard to come by. Also dropped by defeated enemies, swallowing a bay leaf restores one unit of health.
Fragment of Love Ambrosia
Battle of Olympus item love fragment.png
Before Helene was taken away to the underworld, she manifested her love for Orpheus, divided it into three fragments, and surrendered them to three nymphs for safe keeping. After rescuing each nymph, they will return the fragments to you, allowing you to hear the messages of love that Helene left behind.
Battle of Olympus item ambrosia.png
Ambrosia is the drink of the gods. When sampled by mortals in small doses, it can restore their health and improve their stamina, allowing them to take more damage before falling. Ambrosia can be found in a few important locations throughout ancient Greece.
Salamander Skin Golden Apple

Deep below the caves of Argolis, there lies pits where deadly salamanders breed. These salamanders are quite dangerous, but they possess an unusual resistance to heat. As a result, when you kill some salamanders, you are given the opportunity to collect their skin for a later use.
Battle of Olympus item golden apple.png
The golden apple is a fruit grown in the sacred garden of Hera. It has the ability to extend one's life. As such, when found and eaten by Orpheus, he receives only half the usual amount of damage from enemy attacks. However, it is protected by a powerful guardian.
