Save the Cheetah Village[edit]

Spyro and Cynder begin chained to a post in the cheetah village. The Chief scolds Hunter for bringing the enemy into the village, but when the village is attacked by grublins Hunter lets them go. The bar at the bottom of the screen indicates the state of the cheetah village. If it runs out then you will fail the objective and get game over. There are a total of four waves of enemies in this section, the first two are flying grublins, the third are wyverns and the four is a mixture of the two. Kill them all and the chief will ask you to go and find Meadow who is missing.

Find Meadow[edit]

Meadow is in the cave behind this waterfall. The climbing zones to reach the top are on the left.

Go the far right wall of the cheetah village near the green gem and fly around the wall to find a spirit gem. Go back along to the main gate and fly across the river. Beneath you is a small area with no grass and a burned tree trunk that is full of enemies, but they are optional. Behind the tree directly ahead of you though is a red crystal to upgrade your health. Follow the right fork of the river that leads to the waterfall. Behind the row of trees on the left is a second spirit gem. For now ignore the cave and climb the climbing zones to the left. Up here is another spirit gem and a armour chest containing Cynder’s offensive bracers. These will slowly regenerate Cynder’s mana whilst they are being worn. Drop back down and go into the cave now. Follow it until it opens into a room and Meadow will be chained to the rock. Cynder will realise it is a trap and some enemies will pop up. This where the orc makes it first appearance, to begin with there just be one of them. After it is defeated another two will burst from the ground and then a load of grublins. When they are all dead Meadow will be released and tell Spyro and Cynder to go and find the Hermit. After the cutscene the wall behind Meadow will explode to reveal a second piece of armour. This is Cynder’s defensive tailpiece which actually wounds attacking enemies. Now leave the cave and return to the valley.

Find the Hermit[edit]

The health upgrade can be seen across the gap.

Follow the river back past the trees that concealed the spirit gem and then turn right. On the valley walls there are some angular square platforms that jut out of the wall that mark the path up to the elite enemy. Land on the floor and use the climbing zone to reach the second. The elite enemy is the elite version one of the orcs that was just encountered in the cave with Meadow. Its weakness is either lightning or fear so make sure both Cynder and Spyro have full mana bars before attacking. There is a spirit gem at the back of the battle area and a red crystal upgrade across the gap by the mana gem.

Jump back down and continue along the valley until the wall sticks out a bit more. This wall is cover in climbing zones and there is a wall running point at the top. Use these to reach the spirit gem on the tall section in the valley, then look around and you will be able to see another spirit gem nestled in some trees. Re-climb the pillar and look towards the centre of the valley and you can see a further pillar. Glide to this to collect a spirit gem and green crystal upgrade. Keep following the valley for one more spirit gem then go towards the waterfalls. Fly along them until you reach the climbing zones and use them to reach the cave at the top. In this cave is an armour piece for Spyro, his defensive helmet which raises his defense. Jump out of the cave and from the ground you will be able to see a thick group of tress that hide a spirit gem.

Fly back down and go back along the river past the poles that obstruct the river. From above these another spirit gem will be visible so go and collect it. Now there are more Grublins, kill them all if you want. There is a point where Spyro and Cynder must push over a tree to cross the river as it forks off right from the main river. There is a spirit gem on both sides of the river here, on the bank and one on a platform in the waterfall. Collect them both and open the door of the passage, marked by the giant paw print on the wall.

This leads to a valley with a strong wind blowing down it making it impossible to just fly down it. Jump across the river to the low ground and use the climbing zones to reach the wall run point. Wall run along it to reach the bridge across the river. Fly along to next and slightly higher platforms until a tutorial about jumping whilst wall running appears. Wall run along the point until opposite the platform and then jump. Push over the log to smash some of the rock face, this can then be used to reach this point if you fall off without starting the whole section again. Brown climbing zones will pop out of the wall which break if you remain on them too long. Get back onto the green ones and follow them along to another platform. Jump the one across the valley. This one has climbing zones on the wall above it, climb them and fly across to find a green crystal upgrade them drop down and you will be attacked by skeletons. As soon as the last one is dead then the Hermit will emerge and begin a lengthy cutscene during which Sparx obtains the key to the supply cave. After this is over grab the spirit gem then climb the climbing zones to the save point and run across to the Hermits hut to grab an armour piece, Spyro's fury bracers which increase Spyro's fury power.

Find the Supply Cave[edit]

Fly back along the Hermits area until you notice a small cave that holds a spirit gem and further along a red crystal upgrade. Then leave the Hermits area back through the cave. Once back in the main valley head left for another spirit gem, opposite the side you entered from. Carry on and approach the green mana gem and you can see another spirit gem to collect on a raised area. Turn back and go around the trees then keep going over the next bump and you should be able to see a save point. Here are two blue switches that lower the raft, remember where this is as it can be hard enough to travel around with orbs as it is, let alone actually looking for this as well.

Go along to the end of the river to find a spirit gem guarded by some flying grublins. Stay on this side of the river but turn around and go back along it. There is another spirit gem in the middle of some trees almost opposite the switches. Keep following until you find a metal door that blocks the entrance to the supply cave. Open it and grab an adamantite orb, although it takes two to lower the raft this one is for something else so just take one for now. With both dragons, as you’re going to need two. This does seriously compromise your flying ability though so it may be easier to take one at a time.

Find the Raft[edit]

The goal is to take two orbs to the switches to lower the raft. However first there is a green crystal upgrade to collect. Continue straight ahead on the path from the supply shed. It comes out near the area with the large pillars that had spirit gems on them. Climb the climbing zones and use the wall run point and then use the upside down zones to reach the platform and place the orb on the switch. This lowers a section of the wall and reveals a green crystal upgrade.

Now return to the supply shed and grab an orb with both dragons, as your going to need two. This does seriously compromise your flying ability though so it may be easier to take one at a time. The only problem is that whilst holding an orb, it is impossible to climb the high bank on the side of the river that has the switches on it. Follow the river all the way down until you find the bridge across it or use the ramp at the far end near the cheetah village.

Bring the Raft to Meadow[edit]

The river is flowing the other way than the one that you need to go in. To move the raft have one dragon land on the boat and then the other fly and use the magic chain to pull the raft. If you stop then the raft will drift back down the river. Pull the raft all the way back to the cave where Meadow is. The only obstacles are the two sets of barriers that block the raft along the way. To lower them, all that is needed is to activate the switches next to them, but doing this lets the raft drift off, so you may want to do them both before getting on the raft. There are also some enemies around that will interrupt if you ignore them so kill them all first. Meadow will be waiting outside the cave and approaching him will end the level.
